WSOP bracelets when I got into poker: all buyins 1k+, typically 200-300k+ for first, even in smaller events.
WSOP bracelet yesterday: online turbo Nevada only, 400 buyin, 11k first.
And if you account for inflation…
I’m disappointed in what this has become!

I nominated Gus Hansen for the Poker Hall of Fame. No one deserves it more than The Great Dane! Gus' accomplishments have been overlooked for too long, and he absolutely has the respect of his peers after playing for the highest stakes for 25 years.
Gus is getting one of my vote
You know what’s pretty telling imo? When the official X account of @WSOP starts listing final table players’ accolades, and makes sure to specify online bracelets as a separate category from live ones. They are fake.
Anyone up for a no social media or no posting to social media bet of sorts? I’d like to bet $1k-$10k and I’d like to have a month-long bet. Terms are negotiable.
she’s not gonna dm you bro
You can dm me @shiina_pkr for the lost to quads support meetings in Prague I’m hosting daily
Strong disagree! Historically and culturally, sunglasses at the table are a part of poker’s identity. And I’m not interested in having rules in place to limit what I can wear beyond political statements, racist/offensive apparel, and items that make you unrecognizable.
People who rely on solvers tend to label things “crazy” as if it’s a flaw-yet no true greatness has ever emerged with out some amount of crazy by its side.

Hot take? WSOP circuit rings are low in relevance & prestige. I won back to back a few months ago, wasn’t mentioned anywhere until series recap. Kessler won 3 in a series few weeks ago, barely anyone noticed. WSOP rings are nearly equivalent to your local casino’s series events.
The main difference, of course, is that local casinos provide better payout structures, since @WSOP insists on providing the worst payout structures on the planet. It’s the one and only brand that pays out 15% in every event!
I hate to disappoint, but I was just in the lab, and ran some sims on this hand with my Octopus poker solver, and the correct answer was to “call” vs the river jam. Sorry @Andrew_Robl but bad fold, maybe you could play more “correctly” next time? #solverdenied #handoftheday
Literally as good as it gets from @Andrew_Robl here. And thrilled @NickSchulman was in the booth to give this the gravity it deserved.
My goodness.
I was watching the WSOPE coverage and wondered about 2 things: what brilliant mind came up with “Rise in Prague” slogan? And who is giving freerolls to those who are huge losing players and obviously staked? Interesting stuff to watch!

Your rock bottom is way better than a chick who is a 10 who’s pretending to have a successful life by sucking dick on a yacht.
