Five checks before you call a chain post-quantum.
1. Which signature? A named scheme: NIST FIPS 204 (ML-DSA), FIPS 205 (SLH-DSA), or stateful hash-based XMSS/LMS in NIST SP 800-208.
2. Where does is it live? Mainnet, not a testnet or a dev branch. Or on a classical chain.
3. Default or opt-in? Opt-in leaves old elliptic-curve keys quantum-vulnerable until owners move.
4. What happens to exposed keys? Freeze, burn, recover, or nothing. Someone has to decide.
5. Since when? A chain that started post-quantum has no legacy keys to move.
Why it matters: a large enough quantum computer running Shor's algorithm could break the elliptic-curve signatures most blockchains use today. Hash-based signatures rest on hash functions instead.
QRL has run hash-based XMSS on mainnet since June 26, 2018.
Ready is not migrated.

Solidity developers: you've spent months/years building on blockchains whose underlying cryptography is vulnerable to quantum computers.
That doesn't have to be the case moving forward.
With QRL 2.0, you can bring your Solidity skills to a blockchain built with post-quantum security in mind from the very beginning (sigh of relief).

🚨 BREAKING: Hackers are hitting the world's money system in 7 places at the same time.
This is what Covid looked like in week 1. A few banks. A few apps. Nobody called it a crisis.
1/ France: more than €118 million (about $133 million) was pulled out of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa over several days and turned into crypto. Today its app was down and EVERY transfer was blocked. The bank says customers lose nothing.
2/ Belgium: on October 28, the federal finance ministry said a cyberattack hit it. The online tax portal was SHUT and tax deadlines will be pushed back.
3/ Eurozone: on October 22, the European Central Bank, the bank behind the euro, confirmed that attackers planted malware on one of its websites.
4/ South Korea: at least 9 banks targeted since late September by an attacker using an AI hacking agent. At Shinhan Bank alone, about 25,000 customers had their names, phone numbers, incomes and loan limits exposed.
5/ Japan: hackers broke into GMO Internet and demanded $50 million in crypto. The prime minister promised an emergency anti-cyberattack package.
6/ At least 14 countries: China-linked hackers used AI agents to attack 200+ organisations in just 11 days. Finance was on the target list.
7/ Crypto: more than $6 billion drained from Binance hot wallets on 11 blockchains on October 29, most of it in about 30 minutes. The FBI says North Korea did it.
Now zoom out.
Hackers now send AI agents to do the work. The French money left over several days before the bank confirmed anything. Fake IDs passed the crypto exchanges' checks. About $63 million in stablecoins became 27,553 Ether in 4 hours. Part of it vanished into Monero, a coin built to hide who sends and who receives.
Covid locked the streets. This time the lock is on the bank app, and €118 million is already gone. Nobody is calling this a crisis yet. But central bankers already plan for the day the hackers get in.
The G7 agreed to run drills that simulate AI attacks on banks. The ECB gave eurozone banks until October 31 to hand in AI cyber defence plans. And last month the IMF chief warned we may end up with "lots of people with shoeboxes under their beds."
We confirm every attack on banks and exchanges before we post it. Follow for the next confirmed case, and share this with anyone whose salary lands in a bank account.

I wonder if $QRL should raise more awareness of its relevance as both quantum computing and AI advance. Quantum computers threaten ECDSA, while AI could accelerate cryptographic research and potentially uncover new weaknesses.
QRL already uses post-quantum signatures instead of ECDSA. That seems like a message worth spreading.

What happened in October?
👉 Uptober failed, with roughly $300B wiped from the market and BTC sliding from about $87K to $77K, its second red October in a row.
👉 Binance suffered a roughly $6.3B hack around October 29, the largest crypto theft on record, with attackers draining hot wallets across about 10 chains.
👉 Around $3B of the stolen funds was frozen on-chain, and Binance pledged to cover all losses from its reserves.
👉 The Fed held rates at 3.75-4.00% on October 28 in a 10-2 vote, with both dissenters wanting a hike, and December hike odds rose to about 80%.
👉 PCE inflation printed 3.6% headline and 3.1% core, keeping higher-for-longer rate expectations in place.
👉 Spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a $485M outflow on October 7, their largest since June, and another day above $635M on October 23.
👉 ETH fell roughly 17-22% and SOL roughly 19-26%, both worse than Bitcoin, while altcoins broadly lagged.
👉 HYPE held up as a relative outperformer, and Zcash and Monero posted weekly gains while most of the market bled.
👉 OCC finalized its GENIUS Act rules for payment stablecoins on October 21, effective January 18, 2027.
👉 SEC comments on the proposed Regulation Crypto Assets closed October 20, while the CLARITY Act stayed stalled in the Senate.
👉 Chainlink launched 24/7 pricing for tokenized stocks, commodities and RWAs, and Samsung added USDC transfers on Galaxy phones.
👉 Crypto groups spent about $176M on the midterms ahead of the November 3 vote, which could unstick the market structure bill.

Binance just lost $6.3B because one set of keys was compromised.
Quantum computers won't need to compromise anything. They'll derive private keys from public ones, on every ECDSA chain, at once.
No freeze. No bailout.

The base:0x37696cd8f723ce541ac376f79fc109080e505ba3 Cashtag on X points to a token that is not QRL.
The Quantum Resistant Ledger is an independent, post-quantum secure Layer-1 blockchain, live since 2018. QRL is not a token on Base, Ethereum, Solana, or any other chain.
Right now, tapping the QRL Cashtag on X shows the chart for an unaffiliated Base ERC-20, created April 3, 2026, that copies our name and ticker:
0x37696cd8f723ce541ac376f79fc109080e505ba3
This token has no connection to QRL. It already has 92 holders and roughly $6,000 in buyer ETH in its trading pool, people who may believe they bought QRL. Please don't buy it, and don't rely on the QRL Cashtag for price info until this is fixed.
What we've done so far:
- Reported to X Support on Oct 6, followed up Oct 15
- Contacted the Cashtag data partners
- Posted a public warning on Oct 12
What we're asking X:
Map the QRL Cashtag to the native QRL asset, or show it as ambiguous with no default contract
Stop defaulting to any Base contract that uses our name. Dozens of clones exist, so removing one won't solve it.
For those copied FYI:
- Cashtag partners: Please help route this to the team that owns asset mapping
- DEX Screener & Base: Please flag this contract as impersonating QRL
We're glad to provide any verification needed. Proof of the real QRL in the reply below 👇

QRL is not a pump/dump coin but a complete echosystem against the quantum computers of the future.
There is no migration, no PQ upgrade because it is purely PQ protected from the genesys block since 2018

Exploring Quantum Ecosystems #1 - @QRLedger
Based on quantum readiness, QRLedger is s-tier. It is quantum-safe, upgradeable and has been battle-tested for 8 years.
Within QRL, layers of applications are being built thanks to 2.0, which brings smart contracts to the network.
Let's take a look inside ↓↓
___________
Most chains, Bitcoin and Ethereum included, sign transactions with elliptic curve signatures, and a large enough quantum computer running Shor's algorithm could figure out a private key from a public key and exploit that vulnerability.
QRL signs with hash-based signatures instead, which Shor's algorithm does not break.
Its PoW network, QRL 1.x, uses XMSS where every address holds a fixed number of one-time keys and each signature uses up one of them, which is why QRL wallets keep track of which key index comes next.
QRL was built this way from block 0. Ethereum's own roadmap, by comparison, targets about 2029 for its post-quantum transition.
Its PoS network, QRL 2.0, aka Project Zond (still on testnet), opened up a whole new world of possibilities for and flexibility for more applications to build on Qrl.
2.0 is EVM compatible and it has its own contract language - Hyperion. V2 is the current release. It signs with ML-DSA-87, the NIST standard formerly known as Dilithium5, and it is upgradeable.
What's being built
1. Wallets
.1.x wallets - web and desktop wallet, the mobile wallet, the Ledger Nano app and Zeus (an experimental multi-platform client)
.2.0 wallets - MyQRLWallet (built with @DigitalGuards) offering web, Android, desktop & browser extension wallets, and QRL's own Web3 Wallet is a Chromium extension
2. Explorers & Data
.ZondScan - the explorer for the 2.0 testnet
.@QuantaScan - explorer that covers both networks
.QRL Now is a market dashboard across exchanges
.Quantum Bubble Maps - draws the 1.x wallets and the clusters between them
.@chainalysis - transaction monitoring tool
3. Core & Dev tools
.go-qrl - for execution
.Qrysm - for consensus
.Hyperion /Web3.js /QRLLIB - for the 1.x cryptography
.qrl-cli - for 1.x wallets and transfers
.WalletConnect - lets dApps talk to MyQRLWallet over a post-quantum encrypted relay.
4. DeFi
.QuantaPool - a liquid staking app where you stake QRL and receive stQRL
.QuantaSwap - swaps QRL for ETH across chains using hashed timelocks
.AcornSwap - a port of Uniswap V2 and V3 to Hyperion
.PQlyMarket - a YES/NO prediction market
.ARQL Bridge - moves USDC from Circle's Arc testnet onto QRL 2.0 as a QRC-20 token
.QRC20 Factory & QRL 2.0 Token Generator - lets anyone deploy a token
5. Apps
.PeerQuanta - a p2peer marketplace with encrypted chat
.talkrypt - a post-quantum chat prototype
.Squirrel Game is an on-chain NFT strategy game.
.Quantrix, Discus, Fermion & Valence - private messaging + decentralized storage
.QRLphone
6. Mining, exchanges & compliance
.HeroMiners & @MiningOcean_org - run mining pools, .@MEXC, @XTexchange & @biconomy - centralised exchanges to trade $QRL
Team & Partners.
.@petewaterland, @jackalyst, @craig_clement, @Joseph_Kearney, @Strike_Attack, @OfficialUoM and others.
Many of the unoffiicial projects are still new, and on testnet in 2.0 that's why they don't have handles yet.
Also, there are memecoins but I did not to add them because they aren't building serious applications on Qrl.
That's all for now.
GL1TCH_Data retweeted
We checked 16 coins sold as quantum-resistant. Only 7 are post-quantum by default on mainnet, and two of those launched in the last 7 weeks.
The old guard is tiny. $QRL and $MCM have signed every transaction with hash-based keys since 2018. $QRL's ML-DSA upgrade, Zond, is still on testnet with no ETA.
The bigger names went opt-in. $ALGO, $NEAR and $CKB all shipped post-quantum accounts this year, and $SOL has a WOTS vault at the app level. None of it covers coins sitting in old addresses. If you never move them, they're exactly as exposed as before.
$ZEC is the odd one in the middle. Ironwood made notes recoverable in July, but spends still run on elliptic curves and the recovery protocol isn't live yet.
Then there's the branding gap. $QANX markets itself as quantum-resistant, and its mainnet hasn't launched. $NAORIS runs a hybrid with ECDSA and invite-only validators.
$BTC and $ETH are still on ECDSA, with proposals only. The chains with the most to lose are moving the slowest.
From 2027 the world will start switching to PQ cryptography and the first ones will always win the market. That's why QRL positioned itself back in 2018.

➥ My quantum-resistant token wishlist
I’m spending more time on this sector because the migration is already happening.
Google targets 2029 for post-quantum readiness, with Google Cloud publishing a detailed migration roadmap in August.
That’s a deadline to prepare infra, not a prediction that Bitcoin gets broken in 2029.
I believe wallets, custodians and institutions will need to evaluate quantum exposure before a capable quantum computer arrives.
But I’m checking what actually protects user funds: native signatures, optional account upgrades, or unfinished implementations.
Here’s my wishlist:
→ base:0x37696cd8f723ce541ac376f79fc109080e505ba3 - the operating history I want to study.
Native transactions have used hash-based XMSS signatures since 2018.
Next checkpoint is Zond: whether its post-quantum smart-contract stack can attract developers beyond the security thesis.
→ $QTC - the newer implementation I’m following closely.
@QuantusNetwork native ML-DSA transaction signing.
I want to see sustained usage, accessible liquidity and demand that can absorb mining emissions.
→ $CKB - cryptographic flexibility interests me.
Its SPHINCS+ Lock Script and Quantum Purse let users adopt post-quantum protection today.
It’s optional, so wallet adoption matters as much as protocol capability.
→ algorand:native - a concrete migration path on an established chain.
Native Falcon-1024 accounts are supported. I’m watching wallet and app compatibility.
→ $NEAR - migration without changing the account address.
ML-DSA-65 signing went live in July.
Fireblocks demonstrated rotating a funded account in 2 transactions, then receiving and sending funds with the new key.
That’s the kind of practical integration I care about.
→ abelian:native - privacy and post-quantum security together.
@PQabelian uses lattice-based cryptography for private transactions.
I want to understand whether that translates into recurring payment demand and stronger liquidity.
→ $CELL - the ability to change algorithms over time.
@cellframenet supports multiple post-quantum signature schemes.
I’m watching adoption of its native infra, while checking which chain and token representation users actually hold.
→ $STRK - promising architecture, with dependencies.
Hash-based STARK proofs and working Falcon account implementations give Starknet a migration path.
Those account implementations remain early-stage, and full protection still depends on Ethereum’s transition.
I’m also tracking $ZEC’s quantum-recoverability work.
It supports a future migration; it doesn’t make current Zcash fully quantum-resistant.
Where I expect growth:
→ wallets that make key migration usable.
→ custody systems that can support new signatures.
→ infra that handles their higher verification costs.
→ networks that turn those capabilities into retained users and fees.
Existing chains can upgrade too, so post-quantum cryptography alone won’t guarantee token demand.
In the future, blockchains that are prepared for the challenges of the future will survive.

抗量子赛道项目介绍:@QRLedger
量子计算机还没来,但抗量子这条赛道有一条链已经跑了 8 年。
QRL($QRL)2018
Hyperion
