I reject this idea completely.. as someone whos sleep has been completely ruined by sleeping with a dog
A surprising new study finds that people who sleep near their dogs don’t experience disrupted sleep. If anything, the University of Toronto researchers discovered, we humans are the ones disturbing our dogs’ sleep. nbcnews.com/health/health-ne…

With the MASL season around the corner, here is a nice retrospective on indoor soccer in the United States, mostly focused on the MISL and the NASL's short-term indoor league.

We love you too @HowieRose and thank you for everything from Mets Radio.
An unfortunate miscalculation by the GM, which will set the franchise back a half decade
"When it comes to letting Pete Alonso go, it can be argued that the Mets were too calculating. That they didn't properly appreciate Alonso's value beyond his bat - his connection to the fans, his ability to play nearly every game nearly every season, and his understanding of what it took to play and deal with the scrutiny in New York."

The death of local newspapers is a disaster that will really play out in the decades come to come, especially with declining media literacy. The thing here is that a lot of jabrones lump everyone in "The Media" together.
"The Media" can technically consist of multi-million dollar ESPN takesman, a crime reporter from the Grand Forks Herald and an NFL podcaster. But the person covering crime or local politics for say the Lexington Herald-Leader isn't some CNN anchor making millions or some high-profile political columnist. It's almost always a regular Joe or Jane who lives in the community they cover and makes just enough to pay the bills. Sure, some online and independent sites will fill in some gaps. But if you are a young person and you see this, why on earth would you enter the local news profession given the annual drumbeat of layoffs and AI eventually covering some of this stuff? Smart young people will rightfully flee to anything safer, which is everything else. A disaster.
We need to normalize in broadcasts just having a normal conversation instead of an abrupt stop so the play-by-play person can tell me what my eyes can see on the television ..
Why does @tombogert insist on wearing knock off Starter jackets on television? 🤣🤣
You… have to accept this right?
Sources: Sporting KC did indeed make a bid worth up to $25m to NYCFC for star attacker Nico Mercau Fernandez as @CLMerlo and @GerGarciaGrova 1st reported.
