Why does doing good work in your community automatically mean you should run for office?
Every good coach doesn’t need to be a commissioner. Every mentor doesn’t need to be a mayor. Every community leader doesn’t need their name on a ballot.
Public office is one way to serve. It’s not the only way.
Sometimes we become so focused on who we can elect to fix our communities that we forget the responsibility we have to help fix them ourselves.
Vote. Hold leaders accountable. Work with them.
But then come home and do your part too.
This is a first for me. I'm running out of space on my gaming computer. I hate to remove games I'm not currently playing but is that what people do? I hate to do this, I like seeing their icons. :/ But I guess it makes the most sense. NewWorld, GrimDawn, Epoch, League, Valheim?

I really feel like 'Patriot's Day' should instead have been 'First Responders Day.' It should center around fund raising for Fire and Ambulance Crews, and honor all those guys who we count on to save us, even in dangerous situations. Would make more sense and tie in better.

Gaming's 'Uber Guilds vs Casual Guilds' is Republicans vs Democrats almost exactly, ever notice that? Nothing against either playstyle, I've been in both kinds of guilds happily at different points in my life, but the comparisons are almost dead on.

My granddaughter, 10 years old, is making bracelets and selling them around her neighborhood. She made $25 today. I'm so proud, both of her creator ability and business sense! Must nurture the heck out of that!
My husband used to boop my nose at least once a day and I actually hated it. :/ It felt so belittling, my blood would boil, and I don't know why. One day I backed away from it and said 'please don't. I really hate that.' That made him do it more, he thought it was so funny. Ugh.
My daughter called me - her youngest started school and she's alone in the house for the first time in five years and she's crying because time is passing and she misses them and she doesn't remember how to be just her herself, not a mom. She called me for comfort. I'm blessed.

My pond is off center, the subtle gradient in the different leaves doesn't show as much as I hoped, I should have had one more blue flower on the left. But otherwise, it's cute! :) Already have a new one in mind...with a wolf and an owl under the moonlight! :)
