Meet Optimum's Crypto Trading and Markets Lead, Gary Pike!
Speed is money in the trading world, and Gary knows firsthand from his time trading options in the NYMEX pit before making the jump to crypto in 2017. His crypto career includes Head of Trading roles at B2C2, Blocktower Capital, and Stillman Digital, with a focus on arbitrage and HFT strategies.
Now he's leading the build out of Optimum's trading products, designing ways to get our ultra low-latency data delivery into the hands of traders.
Bonus fun fact, Gary played college football for Nebraska, where he also got his degree in astrophysics.

Optimum is now officially part of the @ethereumkoreaio Ethereum Korea Consortium!
We've been excited about the growth potential for Ethereum in the Korean market, having already partnered with multiple Korean validators in the testing and implementing of mump2p.
We look forward strengthening Ethereum infrastructure in the region and supporting institutional adoption.

We're pleased to announce that @FPvalidated (a validator arm under @FourPillarsFP) is now testing mump2p.
Well known for their top tier research work, @FPvalidated recently expanded into ETH staking to serve the Korean institutional market.
Since Ethereum's network is less densely concentrated in regions like Asia, mump2p's latency reduction is especially valuable for node operators in the region to maintain high peering scores and performance.

I keep sharing @get_optimum community activity stats
and I always quote the previous stats so you can easily compare the numbers.
It's interesting to see how some regions that used to be very active no longer make the top 10, while others that were quiet before are now climbing up.
It's also fascinating to watch sudden spikes of activity in certain regions and try to understand what drives them.
Unfortunately, not all of them turn into sustained growth and often fade quickly.
One thing never changes: the Hindi and Bengali regional chats always on top 😅

I love seeing new regional chats make it to the top, but what's even better is when it's not just a one-time spike, it's consistent, ongoing activity.
This time, the Turkish and Urdu chats really stood out, great job guys, keep it up!
