Meet Optimum's Crypto Trading and Markets Lead, Gary Pike!
Speed is money in the trading world, and Gary knows firsthand from his time trading options in the NYMEX pit before making the jump to crypto in 2017. His crypto career includes Head of Trading roles at B2C2, Blocktower Capital, and Stillman Digital, with a focus on arbitrage and HFT strategies.
Now he's leading the build out of Optimum's trading products, designing ways to get our ultra low-latency data delivery into the hands of traders.
Bonus fun fact, Gary played college football for Nebraska, where he also got his degree in astrophysics.

Can we make a decentralized network faster without changing what makes it decentralized?
This is the direction @get_optimum is taking - improving the way data moves through the network instead of solving performance by centralizing it.

The interesting part isn't the move into trading itself
It's the approach: find environments where latency has measurable economic value, understand the problem from the user's side, and build around that.
