The demo gods were good to us and we were able to show how to integrate the operator with ArgoCD to achieve 100% end-to-end GitOps goodness for schema migrations on a real Kubernetes cluster.
We then go on to present the Atlas Kubernetes Operator which introduces new CRDs for extending your Kubernetes cluster's API to support managing database schemas.
The answer, we argue is to use the right tool for the job, which in the world of Kubernetes, means using CRDs and Controllers (the Operator Pattern) to manage stateful resources.
