Thanks for your feedback. Docs and setup experience are top PRI for us in Q1 - so I'm sorry you had a suboptimal experience.
Atlas is successfully used in production in lots of places, do you mind sharing what didn't work for you?
Thanks again for taking the time 🙏

A nice quality-of-life feature landed in Atlas today:
When using a diff-policy to add/drop indexes concurrently, Atlas now auto-adds the "atlas:txmode none" directive. This ensures that when the file is applied later, it won’t run inside a transaction.

For the vast majority of cases, @prisma users should probably keep using the "batteries included" tool. But for the others?
Here's the guide:
atlasgo.io/guides/orms/prism…
So why should you consider using a specialized schema management tool?
1. You want to utilize more advanced DB features (views triggers, stored procs, RLS, covering indexes, etc.)
2. You're building an IDP (cc @PlatformersC) and want one tool for all ORMs
ORMs exist to *abstract* the DB away and give a more or less equivalent experience across databases (e.g should work ~the same for @PostgreSQL , @MySQL , @PingCAP , @PlanetScale etc).
=> For this reason, they tend to focus on the common DB features (tables, indexes, FKs..)
