Every year I try to make things easier for the girls. A lot of people don’t even think about children with special needs, so many adults handing out candy are always wrapped up on the idea of children having to say trick or treat. I try to make things as seamless as possible for my daughters to avoid meltdowns and frustrations during an already overwhelming time. This is the first year I’m adding an AAC board as Harlei has gained a lot of confidence communicating while using her actual device. Haven has started training on an AAC starting in September so I think this will be extremely helpful. I also added a QR code so that if anyone outside may need help communicating they can get a digital version of it in their device.
