Based on my experience with Confucius Institutes at overseas universities, the teachers' work mainly consists of teaching Chinese language, calligraphy, Wushu, and conducting cultural exchanges.
They don’t even compare to historical Western missionaries in China. Take W.A.P. Martin (an American): he served as the first Head Faculty of the Imperial University of Peking, was granted a second-rank official status by the Qing government, and acted as an international law advisor to the government.
How can today's teachers, who only cover basic grammar and martial arts, be branded a nantional threat? 😂A superpower like the U.S. shouldn't really be trembling over a calligraphy brush, right?

Chinese state media said Wang Huning, China’s fourth-ranked leader, accompanied Kim and conveyed greetings from President Xi Jinping.
The four-lane bridge linking Sinuiju and Dandong was completed in 2014 with Chinese funding but sat unused for 12 years before officially opening on October 15 amid warming ties.
