Said with a straight face from the politically aligned polling who spent the last year telling South Africans ActionSA was much smaller than it is.
What a colossal asshole.

📈 1 million votes and counting!
ActionSA has crossed the 1 million votes mark nationally as counting continues.
This milestone comes despite contesting in less than a third of the South Africa's municipalities, demonstrating the reach of our growing movement.
Thank you, South Africa, for your support!

I have seen the initial election results this morning, and while I am encouraged, it is still very early. Counting continues, and we must allow the IEC to complete its work.
That said, I want to sincerely thank every resident of Tshwane who came out yesterday to vote, and especially those who placed their trust in me. I am deeply grateful for your support.
In the meantime, until the IEC officially declares the results, I remain the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, and my responsibility to the residents of our capital continues.
I will be returning to Bronkhorstspruit today to check on progress with the rehabilitation of the water treatment works and efforts to restore safe drinking water.
Whatever the election outcome, my commitment to serving the people of Tshwane remains.
Thank you, Tshwane. 💚

Throughout the Bronkhorstspruit water crisis, I have led the City’s response with two priorities: restoring safe drinking water and ensuring accountability for the failures that brought us here.
We have made significant progress in rehabilitating the treatment works, but restoring water cannot mean sweeping the failures that caused this crisis under the rug.
That is why I have insisted on a broader, independent forensic investigation into the entire chain of responsibility, including procurement, operational management and administrative oversight.
Where negligence or misconduct is established, consequences must follow.
The residents of Tshwane deserve both safe drinking water and a municipality that takes accountability seriously.

“Something went wrong, and we must fix it. And we're not going to do it by having senior officials hiding behind junior officials.”
Our Tshwane Mayor, Dr @NasiphiM, is demanding a thorough, independent investigation into the failures that led to the Bronkhorstspruit water crisis, with accountability at every level of the City's administration.
💧 Restoring safe drinking water is the immediate priority. Holding those responsible accountable and preventing another crisis is just as important.
So, @Our_DA ran Tshwane for most of the seven years preceding the 2023 cholera outbreak that claimed over 30 lives, including under @CilliersB.
Brink may have been Mayor for only 48 days, but the DA’s years in government don’t simply disappear.
Accountability starts at home.
Replying to @AtholT @CilliersB
Always dishonest. As has been pointed out to you many times, Brink had been mayor for all of 48 days when the cholera outbreak occurred. Pinning that on him takes a special kind of sleaze.
Your mayor has been in the job for more than two years. Don't pretend you don't know this.
More than 30 people died during the 2023 Hammanskraal cholera outbreak while @CilliersB was Mayor.
Where were his demands for accountability then?
The current cluster of cases is NOT cholera. Only three people have required hospital care. Zero deaths.
Those are the facts.
❌ In Tshwane, water went without chlorination for weeks, exposing residents to contaminated drinking water, all because the ANC-ActionSA Coalition couldn't listen to or read reports. We demand accountability from the political leadership and senior officials for gambling with residents' lives.
Stop the coalition chaos and start service delivery by voting DA on 4 November. Visit pledge.da.org.za.

In the matter of the DA vs ActionSA and others, The Electoral Court has just delivered what can only be called a snotklap. Eina.

A Deputy Minister (Dr. Jack Bloom) is abusing his privileged status in government by using government information to promote narrow party interests. We are honestly in big trouble with this party, the DA. They then call any coalition without them chaotic when they are the masters of chaos!
