Colten Ellis was not the @BuffaloSabres problem today. He should not have been pulled or scapegoated. UPL gave up a goal that the defencemen should have handled easily. The defence needs to tighten up start doing their jobs.

Curling has lost a legend. It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of one of the most exceptional figures in Canadian curling, Colleen Jones.
During her curling career, Colleen captured six national women's championships and two world championships. She also served as a curling coach, broadcaster and ambassador helping grow the sport across the country and the world.
Thank you, Colleen, for your enduring contribution to our sport. Every shot played. Every rink inspired. Every life you touched. You will be deeply missed and your legacy will forever endure on the ice and in our hearts.
Our thoughts are with Colleen's family, friends and the whole curling community.

The @NSPC plan involves making schools safer.
It's also important to remember that two @NSTeachersUnion presidents praised Houston's governments.
Houston's commitment to education is well-documented.
Six education professionals are running for him, and he is the only third premier since the Second World War to attend an Annual Council of the Nova Scotia Teachersβ Union.
Let's look at what @withwozney and @ryanlutes said about @TimHouston:
βThe premier shared his commitment to improving classroom conditions, to improving work-life balance for teachers and his desire to invest in public schools, and I think that spurred his team along into eventually getting an agreement with teachers.β Ryan Lutes, Queens County Community Radio, April 18, 2024
βWozney says the NSTUβs relationship with the Houston government is faring much better.β β January 6, 2022, CKBW Radio
βThis is a government that at least has begun to take teacher feedback and input very seriously and I think that bodes well.β Paul Wozney, January 6, 2022, CKBW Radio
βPresident Paul Wozney says the current governmentβs willingness to communicate and collaborate with teachers and their union is a welcome change.β May 1, 2022, NSTU website
βHe [Ryan Lutes] creditedβ¦ the intervention of Houston, who spoke with the union bargaining team earlier this week, with pushing the talks ahead.β April 18, 2024, CBC
"His [Tim Houstonβs] direct involvement was absolutely helpful to get his side, his bargaining team moving in a more constructive way," [Ryan] Lutes said. April 18, 2024, CBC
Ryan Lutes, president of the teachers union, said in an interview Thursday that the premierβs presence at the bargaining table seemed to move things along. βThe premier was helpful,β Lutes said. April 18, 2024, Queens County Community Radio

In light of the recent Bill 75 decision, I shall say this again!!
If the only way to hold the gov. accountable is to bring them to court, and you win your case, but then nothing changes or is repaired or repayed... it would seem that the system of accountability is broken, no?!

Vote Nancie de la Chevotière for NSTU President May 15th. I want to be the voice that brings forward solutions publicly for much needed changes in education. The teachers and specialists in this province are the main reason the system functions at all. #NanciePDforNSTUPresident
I am proud to throw my support behind @Nancie_PD She is the leader needed by our union right now. She believes teachers are valuable to NS public education and will do everything in her power to represent us well. Her solutions based approach is the best platform by far.
Thankful for my family, especially while I have been campaigning to be the next @NSTeachersUnion President. MAY 15TH Vote Nancie de la Chevotière for a solutions based approach-a voice that will advocate strongly for fair compensation and resources needed to do our jobs safely.

100% true. @nsgov @nseducation @TimHoustonNS need to improve working conditions to retain teachers-smaller class sizes, more time to prepare+assess, increased in school human resources to support inclusion, real consequences for violence, professional database of resources etc.
