My God. I just realised sister @Roxeyna hasn’t posted a single tweet against Zionism and Eagle Hills. I understand they’ll be looking for pharmacy/clinic developers and other service developers for Rasmale and you’ll get good business opportunities. But are you for real?

Dear Faya and supporters, We support Faya and we want to keep campaigning for him. That’s why this is so difficult to write. I have a folder full of photos and videos from Faya's campaign. But I’m stuck. We’re all stuck. Faya led the economic development of Maldives for 5 full years and served in Majlis for 4.5 years. As an individual, he has his own vision, his own thinking and his own economic policies. We’ll not always agree with him, cause we studied from different books and grew up in different environments and have different experiences. We can and we will, respect his right to put forward his own policies, whether on lowering inflation or growing the economy. Even when we do not fully agree, we will give him the room to do things his way. We support Faya, knowing there will be times we disagree with him. The reason we’re stuck now is that Muizzu has crossed a red line and we don’t know Faya's view on it. And this happens to be a serious one. Faya’s spoken vaguely about the advantages and disadvantages of foreigners residing in Maldives long term and about how Palestine lost its land, on a TV programme. But he’s never explained how he sees Eagle Hills and Alabbar. Given that his faction partner, Anni, supports Alabbar and Eagle Hills, it’s reasonable to think that this is why Faya has not made his position clear. That makes it very difficult for us to carry on. As his supporters, we should not have to beg him for his view on Eagle Hills. We’ve all seen the videos. When asked whether he would help Gaza, Alabbar spoke of it with contempt, describing Gaza as garbage and saying he was busy making money for his shareholders, like the capitalists in America. He answered this way twice, in two separate forums. It’s also documented that he donates to Sheba, Israel's largest medical facility, and to Israeli food charities. Sheba is headed by a former IDF soldier who served for more than 25 years. We’ve seen Alabbar visit the residence of Israel's president. We’ve seen him promote normalising relations with Israel at a forum, where he said our children should play with their children. We’ve seen videos of him taking part in a wedding and marrying a couple in the Jewish way by reciting their ceremony. We’ve read in the Times of Israel how he was gifted a copy of the Torah. There isn’t a shred of doubt about whether he is a Zionist. He is one. What’s disturbing is Faya's reluctance to say it. We’re not interested in hearing about the agreement. We don’t care about the agreement. The public interest test fails the moment Eagle Hills, a Zionist entity, is involved. That’s the core issue and Faya isn’t addressing it. As I’ve said, this isn’t an ordinary matter like a policy on inflation or the dollar. We don’t want to pressure Faya on every policy he introduces, cause we genuinely want to give him the chance to do things his own way. But Rasmale is different. Billions of taxpayers' money were spent there and Muizzu giving that place to a Zionist entity is the problem. We’ve read enough about what’s happened at Marassi in Egypt, where Alabbar built a similar development. People there literally have to pay to see the beach. The only request we have of Faya is that he states his position on Eagle Hills and Alabbar out loud. Not the agreement and not its terms. It’s the developer, Eagle Hills, that’s the issue. We want to go back to campaigning. But we are stuck, cause we don’t know what Faya stands for. It’s very sad and disturbing.

There was never a question about Eagle Hills-Alabbar relationship, it’s well established. There’s also no question about his link to Zionism, with dozens of videos, his donations, him visiting Israel president’s residence etc. This makes the content of Rasmale agreement irrelevant. Alabbar’s link, regular donations to Israel, and pro Israel position (so many videos) are the grounds for project termination. Not agreement content. At this point, agreement content is the least of our interest. @Roxeyna
