The new Prime Minister is writing a "10-year plan" for the UK. The arts and culture MUST be part of it. I've signed @_CFTA's petition urging @AndyBurnham to revitalise the arts – to revitalise the whole nation 🌱 Please join me: campaignforthearts.org/petit…

So, please @andyburnham, implement the recommendations of this vital public inquiry. Don't allow institutional memory to fade again.
However, most important, recognise the anguish and inequality affecting @cv_cev, @CovidBereaved, @LongCovidSOS, @LongCovidKids, and others...💔

Why are people angry about care homes being abandoned in 2020 but saying nothing about care homes in 2026 during the current (13th) Covid wave being in an even worse situation with no universal PPE, no universal testing & no care for what is happening?

So, we couldn't install ventilation systems in schools, cinemas, office buildings, etc., while they were empty in 2020, but mid- nineteenth-century engineers could raise entire buildings and streets in downtown Chicago, by as much as 14 feet, in response to water-borne illnesses. – at Galway, Ireland

It’s the 13th wave of Covid right now. The 13th spin of the chamber. Many lives were destroyed from waves 1 to 12, but every wave is an opportunity to join them. The NYT is saying it out loud at last…

If the Covid pandemic is over, why is the 13th wave of Covid infections spreading in an uncontrolled fashion, impacting healthcare services globally now, you know, the very definition of a pandemic?

Which young people are getting vaccinated over & over in the UK? None.
Which young people are being infected with Covid over & over? All of them.
I’ve just watched a whole BBC documentary about the rapid increase in cancer among the young..
It explored food & lifestyle choices, even body sprays & plastics.
Not once tho, did they explore whether getting young healthy people vaccinated over & over with a product that had no long term health data, may have played a role🤔

We are also in the midst of the thirteenth wave of Covid-19.

To those following the science, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to hear that infections cause cancer.
Many studies have shown that Covid infections can reactivate dormant cancer cells and trigger the growth of secondary cancers.

We spent decades teaching people that cancer is mostly bad luck, bad genes, or bad habits.
Then you find out 2.3 million cases in a single year were attributable to infections.
Infections were responsible for 2.3 million new cancer cases in 2024, 12% of total global cases that year, a study has found.
The research found Helicobacter pylori to be the leading infectious cause of cancer

We should not wait decades to ask whether another preventable infection has long-term consequences.
Prevention matters.
Research matters.
And protecting people from infection matters.
