I find it so incredibly hilarious that Larkin completely burned the Red Wings bridge to get traded faster, only for one of the three best players in the league to request a trade the litteral day after. Get Fucked.

"But anti-Semitism tests well" is why I'm casting the first Republican vote of my lifetime on Tuesday.
Replying to @daveweigel
The ad is enormously popular. It tested through the roof. The only people who don’t like it (and lie about it) are Washington insiders in politics and media.

Another Abdul lesson on his response.
Ignoring Haley and moving on with event was an option, and likely the smartest. Still he would face questions just as he will still face those same questions on Sunday.
What Haley did was poke one of the most fragile narcissistic vengeful person around. He cant stand when people don't bend the knee. The man has threatened the careers of even low level sate reps who respectfully endorsed his primary opponents. No one makes an ask of him. No one gives him advice. He lectures and tells you what you need.

This kind of Islamophobic rhetoric is not only repugnant, but dangerous. Everyone running for office should repudiate it in the strongest of terms.

Abdul El-Sayed shouldn’t be attacked for being Muslim, that’s disgusting.
He should be attacked for his hatred of Jews, because that’s disgusting.
There’s a major difference in that.
Anti-Muslim attacks on Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed have become increasingly frequent as this heated race reaches the finish line. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…

There you have it.
@RepHaleyStevens asked Abdul to reassure Jewish and Black voters that he doesn’t support Tucker Carlson and condemns the antisemitic ad by Hassan Piker’s uncle—which echoes his own words— and Abdul replied with “let’s talk about AIPAC”.
A Jew-hating racist through and through who has zero interest in being elected by anyone with a moral compass.

It would be more reassuring if national Democrats could say:
"Everybody in Democratic leadership will combine to curb the ugliest instincts of a Senator el-Sayed. We'll vote funds to protect Jewish institutions from the antisemitic violence that el-Sayed made excuses for. We'll assign him to healthcare committees and keep him far, far away from Homeland Security. We desperately need this seat to hold the Trump administration accountable, but we're not going to lie to you and pretend the guy is anything other than what he is. That would be disrespectful and dishonest. Trump is the main issue here. You have our promise that this nomination is a one-time aberration - and that the rest of us will continue to uphold Jewish safety at home and the US-Israel alliance overseas."
Instead it's all unconvincing and insulting gaslighting - and not-so-subtle signals that if el-Sayed wins, many more Democrats will adopt his style of politics.

If the Jewish community tells you that the rhetoric from a particular candidate and their surrogates is anti-Semitic and they are concerned about their safety, believe them.
12 people now indicted in Michigan for a campaign of terror against Jews and anyone tied to Israel.
Jars of noxious chemicals thrown into family homes. Windows smashed. Homes marked with red inverted triangles, the symbol Hamas uses to mark targets for death.
One allegedly threatened to slowly poison a victim once he became a doctor.
Targets: the Jewish Federation of Detroit, UM regents, a campus cop, a student.
This was never a "protest movement." It's Hamas tactics on American streets.

Alright so this is how Abdul operates behind the scenes. I wasn’t there, but I can almost guarantee this is how that interaction went and why Haley out maneuvered him. The guarantee is based on me witnessing so many of these manipulative and dishonest interactions.
Abdul calls and asks for her to attend an event.
Haley laid down her conditions.
Abdul agreed, antisemitism is bad, who is that Cenk guy, etc
Haley knows he is a snake, just like the entire state democratic caucus knows this, so she says she is onboard but doesn’t let him know she has his game.
She goes public, boxing him in, and forcing him to commit to something he said, but had no intention of doing.
Abdul is a mobster, and politicians are going to have to learn to play his game to pin him down.

A lot of people belatedly realizing that Stevens and other Dems' reticence towards El-Sayed has nothing to do with the primary, but his indulgence of antisemitism and hate:
JUST GIVE HIM THE C ALREADY
“This is us. We're going to do this together.”
Moritz Seider had a message for the Red Wings after they won on the same day Dylan Larkin stayed home.
The access inside the Red Wings locker room this year has been way more apparent.

Semafor: Jim Clyburn Stumping for Abdul El-Sayed
Democrats have a closer in Michigan’s Senate race: South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn. He’s heading to Michigan this weekend to rally Democrats in support of Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed
Michigan Democrats are trying to project unity and turn out Black voters ahead of Election Day amid concerns among some party members that Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers could erode the party’s edge among Black voters.
