WaPo: Democrats can’t believe their luck. No really, they can’t.
Karen Shanafelter needed one word to describe how she feels about the positive polls she is seeing for Democrats nationwide: “Dread.”
Shanafelter’s trepidation is common among the most die-hard Democrats. Despite seeing poll after poll that shows the party in position to win key races in Tuesday’s midterm elections, many are filled with unease, like traumatized sports fans who’ve seen their team blow it in the fourth quarter too many times.

It's really wild that judges are writing opinions that are like "Trump is trying to violate the Constitution as it pertains to elections in our country" and it won't get a fraction of the coverage that Obama's Cheesecake Factory jab received. 🙃

if i see anyone being mean to nisha i will block you straight up, that is a promise
she was six years old and her family had just abandoned her because of some sort of vague powers she had no control over, of course she was going to react badly to that, and accidentally hurt the people she cares about most with her power she had no control over, she was six
and then she was nine years old and had just found it she killed her parents and was so so scared that pavi would hate her for it, and she’d lose the only family she had left, of course she was going to lie and try to hide the truth from her, she was nine
honestly, nishas my favourite character in the show so far, i cannot wait to see what they do next with her, and i will take zero slander of her, ok?

originally I wanted there to be a short break in between book 1 and book 2 of avatar seven havens so it doesn’t end too quickly but now I just want book 2 to release immediately like I need pavi and nisha to make up and reunite ASAP

In 2020, over 700,000 Americans worked on the election.
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick offered up to $1 million to anyone reporting fraud. No poll workers or election officials came forward.

A classic chart to counter the wisdom of crowds idea. US Americans are absolutely clueless about how common things are. They think over a quarter of Americans are Native Americans, one in five Americans is transgender, over a quarter of the population are Muslim, one in five households earn over half a million dollars. The right answer to all of these questions is 1%. They build their worldview on totally incorrect assumptions towards reality. Data literacy matters.

I did not and would never consent to this administration running my fanart through AI and posting it. Can’t even believe I’m saying these words.

Americans are immune to propoganda, they just on average think 21% of Americans are trans and 27% are Muslim for no real reason

NYC Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani referenced Avatar: The Last Airbender while announcing a major water infrastructure project in Central Park.
"In Season 1, Episode 16 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Jeong Jeong of the Order of the White Lotus teaches us: water brings healing and life.
While lacking waterbending powers, New York City has engineered a cutting-edge recirculation system for Central Park's Pool, Loch, and Meer to replace the current use of precious drinking water with a reusable supply, redirecting clean water into homes. Additionally, the system allows water levels to be lowered ahead of major storms to reduce flooding risks and sewer overflow. Funded by $35 million in public and private investments, the landmark project is projected to save over 175 million gallons of clean water annually."
