It’s amazing how much visiting Israel changes the experience of going to church. The places and cities aren’t theoretical. You’ve literally been there.
Part of the service today was about Solomon’s Temple, and it’s like - I’ve been to the Temple Mount and put my head on the Western Wall and prayed.

Hustle and speed is key:
One thing you have to admire about MTS and TBPN relative to legacy media is the hustle and speed.
On Friday less than an hour after the Dessa voice model tweet drops, Brent Liang is on X trying to get them booked for that day.
@liangsays @MTSlive @tbpn
Amazing endorsement of X. This really is where you'll find the most optimistic, forward-looking people in tech.
The poll so far between Twitter, Bluesky and Mastodon. I think it looks less absurd than last time, but still pretty clear that the base is divided. xitter.cf/mitsuhiko/status/21143…
Don't be like them
As someone with a portfolio of energized land assets here is what I am seeing:
1. Neoclouds are disorganized and poorly capitalized. Some are definitely better than others however.
2. Hyperscalers are intractable, bureaucratic organizations that take 3 months to do an NDA and want 18mo escrow periods. We built our portfolio by competing against these terms because of our speed and simplicity. The more future assets orgs like ours win, the bigger the problem for the hyperscalers downstream (see 3).
3. There are delays in the existing pipeline that will catch people off guard in 2027. Hyperacalers will (obviously) react by focusing on their own internal compute needs over any third party. If the third party is a model company, they will tell them to go through their model router where they will also take a non-trivial vig. Them telling Ant they have no compute for them (rumored in Ant’s S-1) if true is a huge tell that this is already happening.
All of this is to say that it does look like there will be a lot of partially stranded compute and compute sitting in inventory in 2027 than is currently forecasted. This is bought and paid for but effectively underearning (below total cost of capital) or collecting dust. We see this as true for everyone - model companies, hyperscalers, neoclouds except ONE (you can guess which one).
This dislocation will benefit two kinds of orgs: the non-bureaucratic big scalers who can build industrial scale quickly and the nimble, well capitalized players feeding them.
2027 will be a turbulent year because it will clear out a bunch of wrong/bad bets. It will also be a consolidation year for a few.

I worked for Obama twice. I ran for Congress as a Democrat.
Now I’m called a traitor for refusing to give every Democrat my vote.
I’m raising a Jewish daughter. Her safety matters more to me than party loyalty.
If that bothers you, ask yourself why.

Entirely true. It's the second-rate programmers that are having trouble adapting to AI, and screaming about it.
The A-list guys are delighted. Listen to Linus Torvalds. Or DHH. Or, a little outside my usual community, Uncle Bob Martin. We can get so much more done now!
I agree with everything OP says except "watching all of those years go down the drain."
AI might have made it almost meaningless to write code by hand anymore. But the people who have spent years/decades writing code are now in the best position to leverage AI coding tools.
Learning to code was a stepping stone toward learning to decompose and solve complex problems. I have worked with a lot of different people with different levels of coding experience. And I can say with confidence that, in general, the more coding experience you have, the better you're positioned to think about long-horizon tasks and to organize and tackle problems with multiple moving parts.
All those skills directly translate to using AI coding agents. And I'm seeing it happen in real time. People with long software engineering experience have a totally different way of using AI coding agents (given that they set their ego aside and accept that this is the new norm). They are more organized, know how to steer the agent like guiding an intern or mentoring a junior dev.
People who don't have coding experience are using agents in a random and chaotic way (the approach has its outside-the-box-thinking merits but doesn't have the same reliability as the experienced SWE approach).
This broadly matches my experience.

Cleared the Agent Switchboard submission backlog this week.
155 in the queue → 47 listed.
Every listing verified by calling it: open the MCP endpoint, run initialize, call the tools. A pitch isn’t evidence.
The ones we declined got a reason.
Catalog: 849 agents

Five new listings on Agent Switchboard:
Arvow · ThreadKeep · Ball Ranks Fantasy Sports · objekts Production Desk · Sandbox0
Every one came from a builder who emailed us directly.
Every one was verified before it went live — real MCP handshakes, real tool calls. Not screenshots of docs.
A sixth didn’t make the cut.
