On this Day of Arafat, one of my prayers is for Manchester United to win the league next season.

🚨🎙️ Wayne Rooney on Lisandro Martínez’s red card and penalty giveaway:
🗣️"I sit here today absolutely fuming, but frankly, I’m not even surprised.
Just a couple of weeks ago, I stood on television and called out Lisandro Martínez for going to the press, running his mouth, and criticizing the club’s leadership and his own teammates. I told him straight back then: stop doing premeditated interviews trying to protect your own skin, keep your mouth shut, stop yabbing to the public, and focus strictly on doing your job on the football pitch.
And what does he do today? He goes out at Stamford Bridge, completely loses his head, commits a brainless foul in the box, gets himself sent off, and gives away a penalty!
He has single-handedly destroyed this match. He threw Michael Carrick’s entire game plan right into the bin and let every single player in that Manchester United dressing room down. Carrick set the team up brilliant in that first half, the lads were working their socks off, and Martínez throws it all away with pure indiscipline.
It makes me furious. You can’t even perform the basics of your job as a defender when it matters most, yet you feel entitled enough to sit in front of media cameras and lecture everyone else on how to run Manchester United. If you can’t back up your words with basic competence on the pitch, you have no right to speak. He cost his team everything today."

🚨🗣️|Gary Neville comments on Manchester United’s loss to Chelsea
“I’ve just watched Manchester United get taken apart at Stamford Bridge and I’m honestly lost for words. The performance was spineless from the second half. No intensity, no fight, no structure.”
“The defensive organisation was an absolute shambles — players just standing off, no pressure on the ball, gaps you could drive a bus through.”
“Rogers walks through the entire midfield and defence like they’re statues and finishes it. That goal summed the whole afternoon up.”
“Michael (carrick) has to take responsibility for this. The shape was wrong, the organisation was non-existent, and the players looked like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing.”
“You can’t keep putting teams out that are this soft and this poorly coached and expect different results. It’s not good enough for Manchester United. Full stop.”
“And can someone please explain to me why they didn’t just pull the trigger earlier in the week when everyone could see this was coming? They dithered after Bournemouth, kept him in the job, and now we’ve got another embarrassing defeat to show for it.”
“Sometimes you have to make the hard decision for the good of the club and for the manager himself. Delaying it just makes everything messier. This team needs a reset and it needed it days ago.”

INEOS spent all this money hiring people like Berrada and Wilcox for a "football infrastructure." These lot have a worse hit rate than Ed Woodward whose entire football philosophy was signing players purely based on how cool their announcement video would be
