“It’s becoming a concrete jungle,” says Waseem Jamal, founder of ORA Studios. In Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan, traditional homes are no longer being built. Architect Kamal Shah says that even when a new house goes up, “it doesn’t feel like a home.” The team looked to traditional settlements for inspiration, where homes were designed in response to the climate and the environment. On a residential project, they used local wood and stone, insulated with traditional Hali, stained timber with walnut leaves instead of synthetic paint, and planted a tree for every one they cut. A school they built in Chipursan using mud blocks withstood the recent earthquake. “It has shown that this approach can work for future projects,” Waseem says. Founded in 2024, ORA Studios was selected that year for the entrepreneurship programme of Accelerate Prosperity Pakistan, part of AKDN, receiving business training, advisory support and patient debt financing. Watch how ORA Studios is reviving traditional ways of building in Hunza. @ApProsperity #TraditionalArchitecture #SustainableBuilding #GilgitBaltistan #Pakistan

@MaryamNSharif @AzmaBokhariPMLN

In GB, there’s a surge of cardiac arrests, and we have lost too many people to it , coz there was no cardiac care nearby. NICVD coming to GB with all these state of the art facilities, is a great news. Thank you GoS . Truly appreciate it.

I am so happy that Bernie Sanders is with us today to be able to see the fruits of his labor. He cultivated a whole generation of young leaders through the movement he spawned who are now winning seats everywhere. And he gets to live to witness it. Thank you, Bernie.

Last night saw some of the greatest progressive victories in modern American history. All across the country, in rural and urban areas, Americans said NO to oligarchy, and YES to an agenda that fights for the working class. Congratulations to the following candidates: U.S. SENATE Abdul El-Sayed (MI) Peggy Flanagan (MN) Troy Jackson (ME) U.S. HOUSE Bob Brooks (PA-7) Rebecca Cooke (WI-3) Sam Forstag (MT-1) Adam Hamawy (NJ-12) Melat Kiros (CO-1) Brad Lander (NY-10) Will Lawrence (MI-7) Donavan McKinney (MI-13) Brian Poindexter (OH-7) Analilia Mejía (NJ-11) Claire Valdez (NY-07) Randy Villegas (CA-22) Aisha Wahab (CA-14)

We may look back at Zohran Mamdani’s election as the most important pivot point in American politics since 2016
U of Mich. Voter: "Seeing candidates like Abdul, like Mamdani in New York, who are all very personable, who bring respect back to politics, is the reason why the younger generation vibes with them so well."

Special thank you to the people who assumed he wouldn't win so they didn't bother voting for Cuomo, and the people who voted for him because they thought Mamdani was an Italian name
Friendly reminder for everyone that this was Zohran Mamdani as the votes were rolling in in his race in 2025:

The entire Democratic Party owes a massive debt of gratitude to Zohran Mamdani. Before his rapid rise, the party was largely rudderless, suffering from a loss of direction, momentum, and self-confidence. By drifting away from the working class, the party naturally saw voters walk away in response. Mamdani single-handedly corrected the course, bringing vital energy, ideological clarity, and an authentic connection back to the very people who had been left behind. Without his influence, the party’s current standing would look very different.

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

American dream is not dead. USA at 250 is finally heading towards a more perfect democracy which is religion blind and color blind. A great day for this great country. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
I hate to say it, but America is over. The communists and jihadists are going to open our borders and replace our votes with votes from illegals aliens. We now have reps who openly speak about their hatred of America, their love of communism and their support for sharia law. We won’t be able to undo the damage they cause on our country come 2028. America 250 was a funeral. The American Dream is dead.
