As expected, I massaged the storm impact areas a bit as the trend is for an impressive & heavy burst of snow to develop in or just south of the Twin Cities metro tomorrow evening into early Saturday. Here is the latest Travel Impact map.

Friday's system is dynamic. Strong winds and a lot of moisture. Still to early to say who see's what exactly, but it should produce at least a couple inches of snow for most of us, with a narrow heavy band for some. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Friday/night #mnwx #wiwx

Looking at our temperatures for the rest of this month, if we fail to hit 50 degrees in the Twin Cities it will be the first year since 2001 that we did not reach 50 at least once in the month of March! #mnwx
Eau Claire was more recent at 2013, and St. Cloud at 2018.

The forecast temperatures aren’t getting the hint that it is almost April!
Slightly below normal temperatures expected through the weekend into next week before our next weather system arrives Wednesday. Lots of uncertainty with the midweek system, so stay tuned.

Meanwhile at the south end of I-35, it was 100 degrees warmer (mid 90s!) than it was up here on the north end of I-35. But at least we don't have to worry about mosquitos right now! 😉 #mnwx #txwx
