It's that time of the year to point out that Florida upside down looks like the Grinch! 🤯

Instead of correcting course, the GOP chose to shoot the messenger and double down on stupid. (This tweet is one year old tomorrow.)

To my DC Republican/Conservative friends who continuously looked the other way so you’d keep getting invited to the cocktail parties: Congratulations, tonight is your reaping. The voters gifted us a trifecta in 2024, and each of you had the immense privilege of executing “the mandate” in either the Executive, Congress, or in the outside coalition. Instead of putting in the twelve hour days pursuing the policies the House Freedom Caucus championed in the Biden years, which later became the campaign promises of the last election, most of you spent the last two years as pencil pushers with fancy titles, at best. Meanwhile, the special interests and pacs dominated our Congressional leadership and the White House, who governed through cronyism, not conservatism. Many of you saw the policy errors, but stayed silent when and where it mattered, speaking only in whispered conversations behind closed doors. You said nothing because you feared being ostracized- you didn’t want to end up like Team Massie, even when you agreed with us. What’s frustrating is many of you did agree with us. Had those of you who shared our convictions found the courage to act on them publicly, there would have been enough of us standing that none of us could have been singled out and ousted. Instead, the Republican voters with a political depth deeper than Fox News were the ones that felt ostracized. Tonight was their response - and now - ironically - many of you will be standing right next to me in the unemployment line. What a waste and disappointment of two years. When will we get another opportunity for a mandate like we did in 2024?

Absolutely no one should be surprised by our election results. NO ONE.

Sports fans will demand the coach get fired and half the roster traded… then still wear the team cap or hoodie the next day. Politics runs on the same loyalty, except we refuse to actually change the people. As long as the candidate has the right color (red or blue) on Election Day it’s straight-ticket voting, no matter the results. We need to start treating the people the way we treat coaches and players on our favorite teams. And maybe it’s time to stop treating red and blue like sacred jersey colors in the first place.

So many people, maybe tens of millions, missed their calling to be head coaches in professional sports. 🤡

Donald A. Lichi: “Gambling is the new pornography in terms of its addictive quality.” I didn’t quite get that comparison at first. The more I see of sports betting and other betting markets, the more I think there’s something to it.

No, the Hornets didn’t fix a game by benching a player in the second half. People are emotional because they bet on the Hornets after they led at halftime.

One benefit of being in the minority: Republicans will go back to voting like conservatives.

On Lindsey Graham. Stay with me on this. The worst kept secret in Washington DC came out today because 3 brave men came out and told the truth and it doesn’t matter if it is after he’s dead. Brave? Yes brave. Why are they brave? They had to go on camera and tell intimate details of their personal lives. To the world. That is extremely difficult to do. Yes it’s brave. And Stressful. They walked into the public square opening themselves to the opinions of the entire world. No matter your opinion on the issue, they took a courageous leap in coming forward. If you are critical, would you go on camera and tell your secrets to the entire world? I would bet a lot of money you wouldn’t. Ok but there is more to this. Because this is the world I saw up close in Washington. I saw behind the curtain and saw ALL the wizards. Everyone in the highest levels of power in Washington DC are keeping secrets that would destroy their entire lives. And that’s exactly why they have power. Not because they are so smart or qualified or the best choice for leadership. I mean really, if you think our best and brightest are in charge then do some critical thinking and look at the pathetic state of our debt, our dollar, and how our government is run, and the outcome that affects your life. Their secrets are the only reason these people rise to the top. Because their secrets are not secrets. We all knew Lindsey Graham was gay. Everyone did. Their secrets are levers of control. Keeps them in line. Makes them a team player. And will make them fight the hardest on issues that don’t make sense in order to keep their secrets just that. Secrets. So everyone is arguing about how this is old news, why now? Or arguing about being gay, and gay issues. Or arguing because that’s what everyone does on the internet, just argue with each other and with bots about issues they don’t have the real truth on, but throw out their strongest opinion anyways. I’m here to tell you the granular issue you need to dial in on and block out the rest of the noise. Three gay men just bravely pulled back the curtain and tried to teach you all the most important lesson America needs to learn. It’s this. America’s most powerful leaders keep secrets that comprise them in the most dangerous ways for the security, safety, and prosperity of our nation. That’s the whole point. I tried my hardest to fight the entire system on both sides of the aisle and couldn’t beat it because YOU ALL keep voting these people back into office and back into power. By the way, I always cosponsored the Term Limit bill and no matter who is in charge, Pelosi, McCarthy, or Johnson, Dem or Rep, that bill never ever got even close to getting a vote on the House floor. So the question for you, The American People, is are you able to learn the lesson and if so, what exactly are YOU going to do about it? Ask yourself, what are you voting for? Donating to? Volunteering for? And are you really satisfied with the outcome election cycle after election cycle?

We believe polls when we agree with them. We claim they're fake when we don't agree with them. Wild!

Agree or disagree with her, Lily is authentic.
On CloseUp, an emotional Lily Tang Williams defended herself against what she called a relentless onslaught of online attacks. U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander is running for another term, while Republican challenger Lily Tang Williams is making another run for the seat.

This is a foolish constitutional amendment proposal. We already have a maxed out rainy day fund and have run the largest surpluses in state history. Any additional revenue should be used for lower taxes, including assisting local governments with grants so that homestead properties can be exempt from local property tax. Surplus revenue could also be used to remove tolls once the property tax issue is settled. I recommend a NO vote.
The Florida GOP has officially endorsed Amendment 1. This amendment will help strengthen Florida’s rainy day fund so the state can handle storms, downturns, and other emergencies without raising taxes or raiding the budget.
