🚨🚨 DEMOCRACY FILES / THE ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK, PART 13: THE NEW FOUNDING 🚨 The "democracy" ecosystem is mostly decentralized. There's competition sometimes (as this drop will show). But when a direction has been set by funders, actors converge towards a common goal. And that goal is: American government must be rewritten from scratch, and soon. RAD, the project of ex-USAID workers we've been tracing in the Democracy Files, represents one plan. PolicyLink represents another plan. What is PolicyLink? Towards the end of UNELECTED, I write about PolicyLink - a highly connected NGO which receives more than $50 million annually in funding. There, I describe its "soul work" - engineering the human soul to create a renewed democracy. That's not an exaggeration; that's how they describe it, in their own words. PolicyLink appears again in the Democracy Files. Here, you can see PolicyLink personnel use the same language we've seen in prior drops: founders, a new founding, redesigning the federal government. PolicyLink has over $100 million in assets and receives its funding from all the usual suspects - Rockefeller, Open Society, Ford, Gates, etc. It has worked closely with Democratic administrations in setting policy. RAD and PolicyLink compete for the same funders and the same space. But they say the same thing: a "new founding," drafted by people no one elected, ready "before the window opens." RAD is perhaps simply more honest about how that window will open.

🗳️NEW: When allowing CHIRLA access to DOJ's noncitizen voter list, Boasberg said, "Plaintiffs shall use this information in relation to their standing arguments only." Now CHIRLA's facing sanctions and a possible criminal investigation since their experts used it for much broader analysis AND that info ended up all over the media. America deserves election results on election night.
If you go to bed on election night and don't know who won a midterm congressional race, that's normal. And if you wake up the next morning and find that a candidate who was behind hours earlier has since pulled ahead, that's normal, too. (via @PolitiFact) to.pbs.org/4zqnWBa

Mark Ruffalo, I’m in SAG-AFTRA just like you. Our union dues are capped at the first $1 million in covered earnings. That means high earners like yourself don’t pay work dues on earnings above that amount. Why not voluntarily contribute more to help fellow actors who are struggling to afford healthcare and make ends meet? You’re criticizing Elon Musk over wealth, taxes and accountability. Maybe start by looking at the system you benefit from. Sound familiar?
Elon, you goofy. 🤪Crashing out, because you don’t want to pay taxes. Don’t want some oversight into all the government money and contracts you made off with. Don’t want anyone looking into exactly what the F you did with DOGE.  And whining about loosing an election. 🤪That’s part of democracy, bro. Welcome to America. This isn’t some South Africa back in the day 💩. You will get use to it. Sometimes you lose. Believe me. That’s what politics is. Oh. And. Watch the Elon Musk doc. It’s wild. theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i…

Sunrise’s broader training agenda calls for a: “sustained, nation-wide crisis” Its fundraising appeal describes training activists for mass noncooperation—and seeks money to train hundreds of thousands more. Disruption is part of its stated organizing strategy.

Mark Ruffalo argues like a man with nothing in the bank. Count the content of this post: zero facts, zero arguments, a misspelling of losing, a poop emoji, and bro, a 58 year old activist closing a political argument in the vocabulary of a middle school lunch table. The sneer stands in for an argument he does not have. When a man has a case, he states it. And the one substantive word he uses is wrong. This isn't some democracy, "bro". The United States is a constitutional republic, and the difference is the whole point. In a democracy the majority can vote away anything, including your rights. The Constitution exists to put individual rights beyond the reach of any vote. Sometimes you lose, that's what politics is, tells you how Ruffalo sees government: a spoils fight where winning a vote settles everything, including who gets investigated and who gets ruled. That is the exact view the Founders built a republic to prevent.

We are living a post apocalyptic existence in the Pacific Palisades. Ironically, as we seek to settle the lawsuit, the abject fear of a mountain of discovery combined with Mayor Bass and future Presidential candidate Newsom’s desire to avoid accountability, may lead to the fastest and most reasonable settlement. The Palisades, without legal settlement from those who victimized us (the city and state), will lose the 50% of our community who simply can’t build back financially, emotionally and otherwise. I want our 80 year old community members who otherwise could never afford to move home, to be able to do so. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Bass, and her lack of accountability is one avenue to returning home for so many. Are you noticing the pattern? The Dems/MSM are launching a coordinated campaign to establish the narrative that any sort of accountability for voter/election fraud, is actually “interference”. They seem to believe Trump is going to do something. They are behaving as if they have already been caught.
The Trump administration has undertaken an unprecedented effort to inject the federal government into state elections as it hunts for voter fraud — and to help President Donald Trump continue his baseless quest to try to prove the 2020 election was rigged and stolen from him. cnn.it/4iuFJzY

🚨 NOW: California Governor candidate Steve Hilton just showed up on national TV EXPOSING Xavier Becerra (D) for plotting a $1,044.54 MILEAGE TAX on CALIFORNIANS That's anti-affordability from the party that's been SCREAMING "affordability" for the past year straight! "There's an energy that's unmistakable! [...] if everyone who voted Republican two years ago comes out to vote now, we can win just with that." Asked if he'd consider taxing Californians for every mile they drive, Becerra said "everything should be on the table" This is ON TOP of the highest gas tax and some of the highest registration fees in the nation. Hilton says he'd veto it on day ONE 🔥 Get out and vote red, California! This helps us in CONGRESS too.

If you’ve never voted before in your life, this is the one time you really need to try it. If you don’t, Xavier Becerra is going to charge us taxes on every mile we drive, increase our gas prices, increase car registration fees, and keep pouring billions of dollars into high-speed rail. Just like Gavin Newsom, but worse. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, CALIFORNIA! GET OUT AND VOTE!

I've spent a great deal of time going through @DataRepublican's incredible work here, so I thought I'd drop an easy-to-understand primer. Your life is a mistake if you're not following this woman! The Illegitimacy Playbook: A Simple Primer A group of people who spent their careers deciding when other countries’ governments were no longer legitimate just decided to run the same playbook at home. After USAID got shut down, the democracy office didn’t go away. It rebranded, kept the same initials, and started treating the United States like one of the countries it used to “help.” Most of the people involved still think they’re the heroes. The recordings show they also spent a lot of time privately writing the rules for when the current government stops being legitimate and sketching what should replace it. Convenient. Where This Comes From - USAID had a democracy office called DRG. Its official job was helping other countries with elections, courts, media, and activist groups. - The approach came from Serbia in 2000 and was later used in places like Georgia and Ukraine. - After USAID was closed, the same people formed the Democracy Renewal Group (still DRG). Their new goal is to apply that model inside the United States through a project called Renew American Democracy. The Plan in Plain English - Block: lawsuits, protests, and refusal to cooperate aimed at the Trump administration. - Bridge and Belong: control the conversation and try to win people over. - Build: use any crisis as the chance to redesign how American government works. They call it a “refounding moment.” - One of the main people, Danielle Reiff, has said they can take a breakdown and turn it into major structural reform. The recordings also show work with DSA-aligned groups on ideas that go beyond the current Constitution. Who Handles the Protests and Lawsuits - DRG does not run the daily protests and legal fights. That job goes to a secretive group called the United Democracy Alliance (UDA). - UDA is described as a large network that includes No Kings, Indivisible, MoveOn, 50501, and many other big activist groups. It has no public website, member list, or normal filings. - One organizer says UDA is Erica Chenoweth’s project. Chenoweth is the Harvard professor known for the idea that mobilizing about 3.5 percent of the population can topple a government. - A group of roughly 1,600 former military officers, intelligence officials, and diplomats called National Security Leaders of America (led by retired Rear Admiral Mike Smith) is credited with actually running the operational side. They track “red lines” and run a situation room. Their lawyers told them to stop recording meetings because of subpoena risk. Other people in the network kept recording anyway. DRG works with a group called Renew to Thrive, which accidentally published hundreds of calls and thousands of documents. The Private Red Lines - Working groups quietly wrote their own rules for when the federal government has crossed into illegitimacy. Invoking the Insurrection Act against protesters is one of the examples they discuss most. - These rules were not voted on or debated in public. - Their plans for what comes next include states refusing to help federal officials and governors calling a “Third Continental Congress.” - The idea is that everyone is already organized so the response is ready the moment they decide a red line has been crossed. Who Actually Decides When to Move - The mid-level groups are not the ones making the final call on mass mobilization. - The files point to a group called the Election Safeguards Response Network (ESRN) as the one that decides when to activate the larger alliance. - That trail leads to Norm Eisen. ESRN is funded under an organization called State Democracy Defenders Action. - Eisen is described as sitting on several important levers and functioning as a key decision-maker, though the posts say he is part of a small, still-hidden group of elites rather than acting alone. The Bottom Line - Thousands of organizations and billions of dollars are involved. Most people in the network believe they are saving democracy. - The same people who spent decades deciding when foreign governments had lost legitimacy wrote the test for the United States in private and planned what comes after. Put it all together and the picture is straightforward. A network built by people who specialized in regime change abroad has spent the last couple of years quietly preparing the same toolkit for use at home. They defined their own private red lines for when the federal government becomes illegitimate, pre-organized the protests and legal fights, lined up former national security officials to run the operations, and sketched plans for what a replacement government should look like. The people at the top of the hierarchy decide when the moment has arrived. Everyone else is told they are defending democracy. The recordings just happen to show them talking about structural reform, a new founding, and the conditions under which the current system no longer counts. That is the primer.
🚨🚨 THE ILLEGITIMACY PLAYBOOK / THE DEMOCRACY FILES: A PRIMER 🚨 I will be using this thread to track all drops, so bookmark it. I spent most of yesterday backing everything (now 312 gigabytes) up in various sources and getting the materials out to others. I also produced an AI video (below) to explain the whole thing to others are not on 𝕏 - feel free to distribute. Here's the primer: USAID, the foreign aid agency, had a democracy office. Inside the agency, it was called DRG. Officially, DRG administered "democracy assistance." They'd go inside countries they thought were sliding into authoritarianism and help the opposition there. That assistance included election monitoring, judicary support, independent media, and civil society building. You may have heard the term "color revolution." The model comes from Serbia in 2000, where trained student activists brought down Milosevic with the help of Western governments, after sustained protests. With the help of USAID's democracy office, this model was implemented in many other countries to topple governments: Georgia's "Rose Revolution" in 2003, Ukraine's "Orange Revolution" in 2004, and many more. Then last year, DOGE shut down USAID. But the USAID democracy office didn't stop. They formed a group called the Democracy Renewal Group, the same initials as their office (USAID Democracy, Human Rights, Governance). Their goal: apply their own playbook to the United States itself. This goal became a plan, called Renew American Democracy (RAD). It invoked the "4 B's" framework. Block - use lawfare and protests to make life harder for the Trump administration. Bridge & Belong - control dialogue and win people over. The final and most important B is Build. Build means redesigning the American government itself, and the crisis is the opening. In their own words: "We can take that breakdown moment and leverage it for a big structural reform, you know, refounding moment." - Danielle Reiff, DRG lead. Calls show DRG working alongside DSA on ideas of creating a different government, one that does away with the Constitution itself. DRG does not run the Block operations. They hand it to UDA, the United Democracy Alliance. One organizer calls it a "huge galaxy": lawsuits, street protests, non-cooperation. They list No Kings, Indivisible, MoveOn, 50501, and many other mega-activist NGOs among their members. Another organizer calls UDA Erica Chenoweth's project. Chenoweth is the Harvard professor behind the three-and-half-percent rule of regime change: get that share of a country's populace onto the streets, and historically, the movement wins. The UDA is very "hush-hush." They have no website, no roster, no filings. Then come the red lines: things the Trump administration could do, such as calling the Insurrection Act on protesters, that would mean that the federal government, in their words, "crosses the threshold into illegitimacy." Nobody voted on those lines. There was no public debate. These red lines were developed within secretive working groups, and in a paper addressed to governors and staff. In the words of Reiff/DRG: "So that if there is a red line crossed in terms of a Constitutional crisis, like everyone's already pre-organized. And so Mike Smith actually said, he goes, oh, you guys have the day after tomorrow plan." Cross a line, and the paper's options include states refusing to lend their resources to federal officials, and governors convening what it calls a "Third Continential Congress." Running the UDA's Insurrection Act working group: Rear Admiral Mike Smith (RET) of National Security Leaders of America (NSL4A). NSL4A is also credited with operationalizing UDA, the blocking operations. NSL4A consists of about 1,600 ex-officers, spies, diplomats. They're turning red lines into indicators and running a situation room to monitor them throughout the midterms and beyond. The NSL4A's lawyers told them to stop recording meetings in case of subpoenas. But the rest of the network continued to record. DRG works in conjunction with Renew to Thrive (R2T), which ended up accidentally publishing 400+ calls and thousands of documents. These calls and documents were never meant for our eyes, but it's them, on tape. Thousands of NGOs and billions of dollars are involved in this endeavor. Most of them believe they're saving democracy. The problem is that people who spent their careers deciding when other countries' governments had lost their legitimacy wrote that test for ours, in private, and planned for what comes after. Who decides when your government is legitimate?

Think about the purpose of this tweet. PBS is a total laughingstock to anyone who is even mildly conservative, which of course PBS knows perfectly well. So the intended audience is the brainwashed legions suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome. But why bother telling them something they already believe anyway? Because the purpose is to reinforce those beliefs, give them a veneer of official legitimacy, and, above all, convince them that anyone who dares to ask questions about late night vote counting behind locked doors, with suitcases full of supposed ballots, is a dangerous extremist who deserves their hatred and contempt. This is a lawfare operation, pure and simple. The objective has nothing to do with informing the public. It is to whip the already brainwashed into a frenzy of hatred against their fellow Americans.
