There's a desperate need to believe that The Establishment wants El-Sayed to lose, and since Obama and Harris campaigning for him is making that difficult (to say nothing of tens of millions from the DSCC), they have to settle for Haley Stevens's fiance.

Illegality and also a PR nightmare for any American company to accept this diesel, given that the money will be spent on killing Ukrainian kids with missile and drone strikes.
The warnings from @SenBlumenthal & @RepRaskin may discourage potential buyers of Russian diesel, importation of which seems prohibited by law. That’s a big risk the Trump administration is asking companies to take, w/o making a case for why the legal prohibition does not apply. @ACGeoEcon

Obama made a a joke about the Cheesecake Factory
In the past week Trump has defended an ad shaming a sexual abuse victim, accused an innocent Muslim American of being a terrorist, referred to several entire countries as excrement, and fixated on men and women’s butts.

You don't get to "but what about Trump's Supreme Court justices" your way into forcing people to vote for AES after the shit y'all pulled in 2016.
Michigan is no longer necessary to win the Senate.
Makes it harder, but it isn't necessary.
It's not nearly as necessary in avoiding a right-wing SCOTUS as voting for Hillary or Kamala was.

Reading posts by foreigners about Brazil, I get the impression that you're not aware of the full extent of the accusations against Sen. Flávio Bolsonaro, or of the available evidence of his corruption.
So I'd like to kindly invite you to really get to know Flávio. A thread 🧵🇧🇷

“Federal agents in Minnesota… found evidence suggesting that Mr. Elmi and Ms. Omar were siblings (meaning Rep Omar married her brother), according to the six former and current officials familiar with the case. Hours later, Hegseth’s team now releases this public statement:
The Department of War has zero tolerance for the intentional, unauthorized disclosure of classified information. Anyone who compromises sensitive national security information puts the lives of our Warriors at risk and undermines every military operation that keeps our country safe.
Following an extensive Air Force OSI investigation, the Department took necessary personnel action to protect sensitive information. To protect the integrity of the investigation, no further comment will be made regarding the individual or the circumstances of this action.
This matter, along with others, have been referred to the Justice Department for potential further legal action.
Classified information is not personal property. Leaking it for personal, political or professional gain is a betrayal of the trust placed in those responsible for keeping it.
Our commitment was not an empty promise. We vowed to find you, and we meant it.

Your party has the government taking ownership stakes in private companies, has farmers depending on government checks for their livelihood, and supports an unprecedented expansion of executive power.

Key distinction here: Russia demanding NATO revert to its 1997 borders is not why they went to war. They went to war in an attempt to ensure Ukraine goes the way of Belarus, rather than Poland.
Just like in 2014 when Ukraine was close(r) to joining the EU, and Russia responded by seizing Crimea.
According to the latest updates from @TheStudyofWar, Russia's negotiating position hasn't changed. They want NATO to go back to its 1997 borders.
Which of course is an insane ask, because that would leave countries vulnerable to Russian aggression, which is ultimately the goal.

Here is why the current DoD narrative on firing of Lt Gen Sylvia is so odd. Did the chairman of joint chiefs know about alleged three lie detector failures and then still keep Sylvia on the job? For how long? Did he agree to let his very top people be tested? Why was the first statement wishing Gen Sylvia the best then amended to something less? Was the chairman aware? We just don’t know

For example: this is Defense Secretary Hegseth after he fired Dan Caldwell, a senior adviser; Darin Selnick, deputy chief of staff; Colin Carroll, chief of staff to the deputy defense secretary. None of them were ever found to have leaked classified information as Hegseth alleged.
Important to keep in mind: Defense Secretary Hegseth has a history of accusing people of leaking to the press, allegations that were never proven to be true. Also, could be mistaken but it’s not typical for Pentagon spokespeople to communicate that a service member is under a DOJ classified leak investigation.
