I am Canadian these are my opinions 🥱
There is literally no point to replacing Schumer. The guy gave you the most generational blue tsunami and you want to reward him by pushing him off a building??? Makes zero sense to me?

Jeffries is probably secure and Schumer may be too both for the reason leadership is hardly a job anyone wants even under these conditions with Trump still in office but acting like it’s only the left that wants Schumer and Jeffries gone is ignoring a lot of signals.
It’s pretty much impossible for the left to kick out Jeffries and Schumer now. The majorities in both houses of Congress are so massive that both Schumer and Jeffries can price in a bunch of vote refusals in a leadership election. There isn’t any leverage at all

NEW poll: A supermajority of Jewish Americans believe Israeli & AIPAC actions increase antisemitism. 80% say Israel’s actions in Gaza & the West Bank increase antisemitism in the US. 66% say AIPAC’s campaign spending against candidates critical of Israel increases antisemitism.

COTTON ON THE ROADSIDE, COTTON IN A DITCH
DEMOCRATS WIN SENATE POPULAR VOTE ACROSS FORMER CONFEDERATE STATES Democrats won the combined Senate popular vote across ten former Confederate states, securing 20,782,908 votes (53.74%) to Republicans' 17,888,197 (46.26%)—a margin of nearly 2.9 million votes. The result is a major victory for Democrats in a region Republicans have dominated for decades. High Black voter turnout helped fuel the result, carrying particular historical significance in states where Black Americans were once denied the right to vote. Democrats broke decades-long losing streaks in Texas and South Carolina. James Talarico became the first Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate from Texas since Lloyd Bentsen in 1988, while Annie Andrews delivered South Carolina's first Democratic Senate victory since 1998.

Extreme levels of cope happening online in how centrists are responding to DSA candidates being electoral overperformers. This invalidates almost all of their predictions from 2024-2025 “WAR” debates

The Long 2010 really is over oh my god
Axios; Democrats poised to break GOP's 16-year grip on statehouses Democrats are on track to take control of a majority of legislative chambers, ending 16 years of Republican dominance over America's statehouses. If current leads hold, 75% of Americans will live in a state with a Democratic governor, and 53% will live in Democratic trifectas. Link to article: axios.com/2026/11/05/2026-mi…

this has been THE thing holding the Minnesota GOP back for a decade now, and its incredibly obvious they just dont wanna listen, even as the suburbs continue to drift further and further away
The Minnesota GOP simply cannot survive the ongoing wipeout in Hennepin County. Then there's also Ramsey and Dakota. Kinda simple as that, no? "Hennepin County alone gave [Klobuchar] an advantage larger than all of Demuth’s counties combined." startribune.com/why-polarize…

Honestly? Probably good for Dems to lose statewide in Florida last night. Looking at how Miami is about to face apocalyptic climate catastrophe and the inevitable implosion of the Florida state budget, the Floridian economy might just collapse in on itself in half a decade
The Fuck It Lets Bang Out Lets Die Amendment has passed with flying colors I see
