AIPAC can’t save its brand by folding its PAC. A once-revered organization didn’t become toxic because it supported candidates. It became toxic because of the policies it asks those candidates to defend. Keeping its Super PAC while abandoning its own PAC only doubles down on the dark money politics that helped create its problem in the first place.
SCOOP | After three cycles of direct political involvement through its political action committee, AIPAC announced it will no longer issue endorsements or directly earmark contributions to candidates. @marcrod97 reports: ji.news/5pegr

To put this in simpler terms: AIPAC is now such a political liability for candidates that it is ending its direct campaign contributions, but doubling down on dark money and other fundraising more difficult to tie back to it.
SCOOP: AIPAC will no longer endorse congressional candidates or earmark donations to congressional campaigns. The group's super PAC, United Democracy Project, will continue to operate and it will urge members to donate directly to pro-Israel candidates. jewishinsider.com/2026/10/ai…

Today, Israeli forces detained dozens of volunteers, including a congressional candidate and rabbis, in the West Bank. Days earlier, settlers attacked European diplomats and a Washington Post journalist. If American public servants, diplomats, and journalists are targeted, imagine what Palestinian families face every day. Congress should take up my bill, the Stop the Settlements Act, to impose sanctions on anyone driving settlements in the West Bank or Gaza, including construction companies and banks. It's backed by 59 members of Congress, including the bill's latest co-sponsors, @RepRaskin, @RepRobertGarcia, @RepJasonCrow, @RepDeborahRoss, @RepJasmine, and @RepDavids. nytimes.com/2026/10/21/nyreg…

Wow… This is so bad I can’t even correct it. So many words but no mention of Israelis as the attackers and source of violence, or Palestinians as the victims of Israeli occupation.

A meek and endangering response by the ADL. Under @JGreenblattADL, it started a whole “Mamdani Monitor” tracker to falsely paint @NYCMayor as antisemitic for opposing Israeli war crimes. Yet when Trump repeatedly uses vile antisemitic tropes, it won’t even call him out by name.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The term was used (for at least the second intent in as many years) by President Trump. forbes.com/sites/siladity… Important context to point out the user of the term regardless of intent.

If a Democrat said it Jonathan Greenblatt would be knocking people over to get in front of a camera to condemn them by name, but it was Trump so it’s just a general public service announcement. Careful with those tropes everybody!

Remember GOP voters: • This war violates the Constitution—Congress didn’t authorize it • Trump started it after pressure from Israel’s Prime Minister, who’s bragged that “America is a thing you can move very easily” • It’s cost you thousands in higher gas and grocery prices
"A job to finish." President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are discussing the possibility of renewed strikes against Iran, with Netanyahu telling Trump they will "finish it together." According to Axios, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made a surprise visit to Israel, meeting Netanyahu at an air base as Israeli fighter jets conduct overnight drills toward Iran. The high-level coordination comes as Trump reiterates that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. | @TreyYingst @foxandfriends

Emphasizing again that we cannot treat this as just business as usual. This is the President of the United States openly attacking an entire ethnic group.
Trump: "You go up to Minnesota -- number one place in the entire country for the sale of Mercedes-Benz. And Somalians are buying them. They come here with low IQs and no money and they get rich. Do we feel stupid? Our fraud division is getting them all."

I'm in the West Bank this week as part of the “Protect the Harvest” coalition along with @israelispeaceny, @ucpinpalestine & Protect the Harvest, which is bringing people together from around the world to help Palestinian farmers harvest olives in the face of state-sanctioned settler terrorism. Our goals for the trip are to help protect the olive harvest — and to shed a light on the reality of the occupation. To ensure that international solidarity goes beyond the harvest, to become a sustained commitment to protecting Palestinian communities from settler violence, forced displacement, and the ongoing threats to their right to remain on their land. And, speedily and in our day, to secure human rights, safety, equality & freedom for both Palestinians and Israelis. Thankfully, our corner of today's harvest was peaceful and successful. But violence unfortunately is never far away. We’ll keep you posted on our efforts this week, especially the stories we hear from Palestinians on the ground. Protect the Harvest.

The UK is making clear that there are consequences for settlement expansion. Not just for politicians or settlers, but those physically building the infrastructure that threatens Palestinian communities and undermines the possibility of a secure future for both peoples. It’s time for the US to follow suit, which is why we are supporting the Stop the Settlement Act, and pushing for a change in US policy. Sign now: jstreet.org/stopsettlements

Weird to read this as I am on a plane flying back from Sudan after spending days sitting in IDP camps talking to people about how this “new” US approach to humanitarian aid is working out. Rubio’s claim is “unequivocally” garbage. Let me share some of what I heard: 🧵
SECRETARY RUBIO: The one that is unequivocally better right now, by far, it's night and day, is humanitarian response. It is faster, more effective, and gets to the target way faster than ever before.

No one in the aid space agrees with this. Nobody. Foreign countries in crisis with close ties to the US all openly decry the dissolution of USAID & DOGE cuts. The #Trump admin's foreign policy circles are full of people who [privately] say the same.

In a classified briefing, a DoD official revealed to Senators how much Iranian attacks on U.S. bases have cost us. Now, I'm calling for the DoD to make that number public. Americans deserve to know how much of their money is being burned on Trump's war with Iran.
