COTTON ON THE ROADSIDE, COTTON IN A DITCH
DEMOCRATS WIN SENATE POPULAR VOTE ACROSS FORMER CONFEDERATE STATES Democrats won the combined Senate popular vote across ten former Confederate states, securing 20,782,908 votes (53.74%) to Republicans' 17,888,197 (46.26%)—a margin of nearly 2.9 million votes. The result is a major victory for Democrats in a region Republicans have dominated for decades. High Black voter turnout helped fuel the result, carrying particular historical significance in states where Black Americans were once denied the right to vote. Democrats broke decades-long losing streaks in Texas and South Carolina. James Talarico became the first Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate from Texas since Lloyd Bentsen in 1988, while Annie Andrews delivered South Carolina's first Democratic Senate victory since 1998.

if the hatred in your heart for maga and the republican party is pure enough, we will always align regardless of policy disagreements.

Extreme levels of cope happening online in how centrists are responding to DSA candidates being electoral overperformers. This invalidates almost all of their predictions from 2024-2025 “WAR” debates

this has been THE thing holding the Minnesota GOP back for a decade now, and its incredibly obvious they just dont wanna listen, even as the suburbs continue to drift further and further away
The Minnesota GOP simply cannot survive the ongoing wipeout in Hennepin County. Then there's also Ramsey and Dakota. Kinda simple as that, no? "Hennepin County alone gave [Klobuchar] an advantage larger than all of Demuth’s counties combined." startribune.com/why-polarize…

Honestly? Probably good for Dems to lose statewide in Florida last night. Looking at how Miami is about to face apocalyptic climate catastrophe and the inevitable implosion of the Florida state budget, the Floridian economy might just collapse in on itself in half a decade
The Fuck It Lets Bang Out Lets Die Amendment has passed with flying colors I see

Here’s Richard Ojeda’s 2018 concession speech. In 2016 he voted for Trump, felt betrayed, and launched a long shot run for Congress in West Virginia as a Dem. On Tuesday he ousted the NRCC chair and will represent Ft Bragg.
