If we (men) identify as women, what do we build that identity on? Its not the lived experience of women, female bodied people, it can only be built on the image and ideal of femininity, that our, male dominated culture creates. It can only be an expression of the male gaze.

Listen to detransitioners! It is possible that people don’t realise why listening to the lived experience of detransitioners is so essential when considering the draft Conversion Practices Bill. Please read this and re-post it. We know growing numbers of young gay and lesbian people who regret having “transitioned”. Some had grown up in homophobic surroundings and were having difficulty accepting or even acknowledging their own sexual orientation. The narratives they encountered at school and online led them to believe they were “transgender” and would benefit from altering their bodies through drugs, hormones and maybe surgery. They were effectively “converted” by their environment into identifying as “transgender”. Not through malice — simply through the popular discourse that has taken hold of society in this area. When they sought help, the possibility that they might simply be gay or lesbian was not explored with them. They now passionately wish it had been — that they had been given the help they needed to accept their sexual orientation instead of being encouraged to pursue a medical pathway. Their parents were told to “affirm” their gender identity. Schools “affirmed” it. Clinicians “affirmed” it. Anyone who questioned it was accused of being a bigot. All this has led to a kind of gay conversion therapy. This Bill seeks to make that situation ten times worse. Those questioning a child’s “gender identity” risk not just insults but prosecution. Detransitioners can explain how important such conversations are, and that they should be encouraged, not criminalised. I have focussed on young gays and lesbians since they are the people with whom I come into contact most frequently. But open conversations are important for everyone who is grappling with distress — which may have many different origins. While this Bill is presented as an attempt to prevent “conversion” it would do nothing of the sort. It would exacerbate the existing climate of fear — which would not help any distressed young person hoping to receive care and support. The current trend is to funnel all distress experienced by children and young adults into the box “gender”. That is harmful and needs to end. Please listen to detransitioners!!

Tonight, my family and I experienced something no family should ever have to go through. Our restaurant, Singh’s Dining Restaurant in Hammersmith, was attacked by a group of Islamists. We had been receiving death threats every single day, including one that specifically warned us that 28 October would be our last day. We raised our concerns, and the @metpoliceuk were aware of the threats. Yet tonight, we found ourselves facing the very nightmare we had feared. My daughter had to close the shutters just in time. I cannot even begin to imagine what might have happened if she hadn’t acted so quickly. We could have lost someone in our family tonight. The attackers reportedly tried for a long time to break through the shutters to get inside, leaving shortly before the police arrived. We have serious concerns about how the attackers knew when to leave, and whether they were alerted before the police arrived. These concerns deserve a thorough and transparent investigation. Tonight, I am left facing a heartbreaking decision, Do we keep our doors open and risk our lives, or do we shut down the business we have worked so hard to build because I don’t serve Halal food. No family should ever have to choose between their livelihood and their safety. No one should have to live in fear in their own place of work. I am angry. I am heartbroken. I am frightened for my family’s safety. I am calling on the @metpoliceuk to take these threats seriously, investigate tonight’s attack thoroughly, and ensure that my family is protected. Please share this post. Let our voices be heard. We should not have to wait for someone to lose their life before our safety is taken seriously. Enough IS Enough. #Justice

I appreciate all of the encouragement and support as I move forward into a life without so much big pharmacy. About 4 years ago I detransitioned and no longer take testosterone. The healing has been incredible, particularly mentally and emotionally. I have been working for the past several months to get off of the psychiatric medicine I was also put on as a young adolescent. During the height of my transition, there was a point where my doctors were giving me everything from sedatives to tranquilizers to antipsychotics to deal with the side effects of the testosterone. I feel my brain was really messed with when it was still forming, and I am ready to feel life the way its meant to be felt. Things have been stable and healthy for me. I have a happy family who loves and supports me, and I am doing and feeling better than I have in my whole life. I am feeling free.

Eric Hoffer wrote this article about Israel almost 60 years go. It reads like it was written yesterday. "The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews. Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it, Turkey threw out a million Greeks, and Algeria a million Frenchmen. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese-and no one says a word about refugees. But in the case of Israel the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single Arab. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis. Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world. Other nations when they are defeated survive and recover but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed. Had Nasser triumphed last June he would have wiped Israel off the map, and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews. No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Negroes are executed in Rhodesia. But when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one remonstrated with him. The Swedes, who are ready to break of diplomatic relations with America because of what we do in Vietnam, did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore, and ball bearings, and serviced his troop trains to Norway. The Jews are alone in the world. If Israel survives, it will be solely because of Jewish efforts. And Jewish resources. Yet at this moment Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally. We can rely more on Israel than Israel can rely on us. And one has only to imagine what would have happened last summer had the Arabs and their Russian backers won the war to realize how vital the survival of Israel is to America and the West in general. I have a premonition that will not leave me; as it goes with Israel so will it go with all of us. Should Israel perish the holocaust will be upon us."

Genspect is blessed to have the incredible Mia Hughes on our team. Her latest article - "Trans is a mental disorder and we must be allowed to say so" is hot off the press. You can chat to @_CryMiaRiver on the REPATH livestream - in less than an hour genspect.org/trans-is-a-ment…
A strange idea has been loose in our society for the last few decades. And it’s so pervasive and so deeply embedded in our culture that many people have lost sight of just how odd it is. It’s the idea that some healthy people require lifelong medical intervention and body part amputation. Or, to put it another way: It’s the idea that being transgender is a natural variation of human existence, not grounded in mental disorder or psychological challenges. Anyone who stops to think about this even for a moment can see how nonsensical it is. After all, how could any man of sound mind want his penis amputated? How could any woman who is balanced and thriving want her healthy breasts cut off? It just doesn’t make any sense. And yet, in the era of trans rights, stating the obvious — that an individual’s desire to medically alter the sex characteristics of his or her healthy body is a form of mental disorder — amounts to one of the most offensive, bigoted, harmful views a person could possibly express. Read my first essay in @genspect's REPATH series on how this dark moment in history could have happened and why restoring truth is the only way out of the madness. Link below.

I was bought skates, but never taken to a single lesson. I was bought the outfit but never saw the inside of a rink. I learned early what bait and switch was, even if I didnt know the term. The last thing that would have been allowed was me in sports, I might have found my voice long ago, I may have found an adult I could trust. Maybe the abuse would have ended years before my 15th birthday. Girls need a place they can run, dance, box, play soccer, do gymnastics or even ice skate. They cannot do so if a boy is lurking in their locker room and or on their teams. We are not asking for much, we do not want your money, power or influence. We only want what is fair, sex segregated sports and spaces. #protectgirlssports #fairisfair

NAZA: A Propaganda Film Masquerading as an Investigation of the Gaza War I recently saw NAZA in a theater in a European capital. Here is my review and analysis. Directors Yuval Abraham & Rachel Szor could have made a serious documentary about the war in Gaza, civilian casualties, collateral damage calculations, and IDF military practices. These are all legitimate questions to investigate about how the IDF selected targets, assessed civilian casualties, and conducted its military campaign. Instead, Abraham made a propaganda film with one very clear message: The IDF are literally modern-day Nazis, deliberately carrying out the destruction of the Gazan people. This is made unmistakably clear in a sequence late in the film. Abraham shows the two-minute siren observed in Israel on Holocaust Remembrance Day, followed by an image of director Claude Lanzmann, whose 1985 documentary Shoah consisted of interviews with witnesses to the Holocaust (which my parents made me watch in a New York City theater when I was 15, and which I remember well). The comparison Abraham is drawing is hardly subtle. Just as Lanzmann interviewed witnesses to Nazi atrocities, Abraham presents himself as interviewing their Israeli counterparts. The implication is that the IDF are today's Nazis and Gaza is the modern Holocaust. That framing is precisely why NAZA cannot be taken seriously as an objective investigation of the war. Nor can the testimony of Abraham's anonymous witnesses be accepted uncritically. We hear only brief, selectively edited excerpts from each interview. With no way to assess the witnesses' credibility, the full context of their remarks, or what may have been omitted, the audience is left unable to independently evaluate their testimony. Knowing that Abraham was also behind the deliberately misleading claim that 83% of Gazans killed in the war were civilians only adds to the skepticism with which his presentation of evidence should be viewed. The film is certainly harrowing. The accounts and footage of death and destruction, including descriptions of how Israeli drones killed people from the sky, are deeply disturbing. It is a horrifying reminder of what war looks like, particularly for civilians caught in it, and the film succeeds in unsettling the viewer. But disturbing footage is not itself evidence of genocide, and civilian deaths, however terrible, do not establish that civilians were deliberately targeted or that a military campaign was conducted with genocidal intent. One of the soldiers interviewed says he believes the war was genocide. But his explanation in the very next sentence reveals he does not understand the term. He specifically acknowledges that civilian deaths were classified as collateral damage, but argues that because the military knew civilians would die, those deaths were intentional killings and therefore constituted genocide. This if of course plainly wrong. The most glaring problem with NAZA is what Abraham deliberately leaves out: the actual war being fought in Gaza. As usual for this type of narrative, Hamas is 100% erased from the battlefield. Someone emerging from a three-year coma and watching this film would come away believing that the IDF was deployed to Gaza for one purpose alone: to kill Palestinian civilians. They would hardly even know that Hamas had an organized military force, let alone that Israel was fighting a war against it. There is an early, passing reference to 10/7 and the hostages, but virtually nothing thereafter about the organization Israel was fighting, its military infrastructure, its tactics, or its deliberate integration of military operations into civilian areas. Nothing about Israel's efforts to recover the hostages, ceasefire negotiations, Hamas' refusal to surrender, or the killing of hostages in captivity. I waited throughout the film for someone to mention the word "tunnel." It never came. Nothing about Hamas' role in prolonging the war. In the world Abraham presents where the IDF are Nazis, HAMAS DOES NOT EXIST. How is it possible to make a documentary about Israeli targeting decisions in Gaza without discussing Hamas' vast underground tunnel network? If the central accusation is that Israel attacked Hamas operatives in their homes, shouldn't the filmmaker at least examine where else Israel could have attacked them? What were the military alternatives? Were those operatives accessible in tunnels? Would attacking the tunnels beneath residential neighborhoods have caused even greater civilian casualties? Why did Hamas commanders have tunnel shafts from their homes and other civilian structures rather than clearly identifiable military installations? Abraham shows no interest in asking any of these questions. Ironically, the testimony of the Israeli intelligence personnel undermines much of the film's own framing. There is extensive discussion of how intelligence resources were devoted to identifying Hamas targets and calculating anticipated collateral damage. The interviewees describe procedures for estimating how many civilians might be killed in an attack. Whatever one thinks of the resulting decisions, these accounts concern the targeting of Hamas operatives, not a policy of deliberately targeting children or civilians. There is no testimony establishing that civilians in those homes were the intended targets, or that the IDF waited for additional civilians to arrive in order to kill them. The discussion is about attacking Hamas personnel while anticipating that civilians might also be killed. That raises serious questions about proportionality, intelligence reliability, and the military advantage expected from particular strikes. But Abraham bypasses all those questions in favor of his predetermined conclusion. The intelligence officers also acknowledge another crucial limitation: They were not responsible for the actual decisions to authorize or conduct the strikes. Their role was to provide intelligence about targets and anticipated casualties. They were not privy to the final operational assessments, the expected military advantage, or the circumstances under which an attack was ultimately carried out. This leads to perhaps the film's most consequential evidentiary failure. At different points, NAZA refers to extraordinary ratios of civilian casualties to a single targeted combatant, including 100-to-1, 300-to-1, 500-to-1. Yet the film does not substantiate them with a single documented strike in which hundreds of civilians were actually killed to eliminate one Hamas operative. There is not a single analysis of an actual strike in the entire film. The same selective approach appears in the interviews with soldiers discussing the killing of Gazans in restricted military zones or near aid distribution areas. Abraham presents snippets of testimony without pursuing obvious follow-up questions such as: were Hamas fighters ever operating among people seeking aid? (dozens have been identified by Hamas and PIJ's recent martyr notices, so we know this is true). These are precisely the questions that a true investigative journalist should ask before drawing conclusions about what the testimony establishes. Likewise, the film devotes considerable attention to the destruction of residential buildings, but seemingly none to Hamas' use of booby traps and explosives in homes, or tunnel shafts. Were any of the buildings destroyed because they were booby-trapped? Did the interviewed soldiers know colleagues killed by explosives planted inside residential structures? How often were houses used as military positions, tunnel entrances, or weapons-storage facilities? Again, silence, Hamas does not exist. At no point does Abraham seriously grapple with the fact that hundreds of Israeli soldiers were killed fighting in Gaza. What were those soldiers fighting, and against whom? Was there an actual battlefield, with armed Hamas units, ambushes, tunnels, explosives, and sustained combat? Of course there was. Again, the movie is intended to portray the war as the IDF vs civilians, period. The result is a film that asks viewers to judge Israel's conduct in a war while withholding almost everything about the enemy it was fighting. NAZA had the opportunity to investigate the Gaza war and IDF actions. Instead, Abraham chose to make a film equating Israeli soldiers with Nazis, leaving his audience emotionally overwhelmed but remarkably uninformed about the war itself.

I found myself thinking about something extraordinary today, and I felt the need to share it. Judaism is one of the few major world religions with no ambition to convert humanity, conquer the world, or impose its beliefs on others. In fact, we make it very difficult to convert to Judaism. Think about the world around us. Muslim supremacists seek to impose their interpretation of Islam on society, establish a caliphate, and govern people’s lives through Sharia law. They want to dictate how others live. Christianity has historically sought to spread its faith across the world through conversion, at times using empires and political power to do so. Communists have historically sought to spread their ideology worldwide, reshaping entire societies according to their political vision. The Chinese Communist Party extends its authoritarian influence through surveillance technologies, censorship, economic pressure, and political control. Ideological progressives increasingly demand conformity to their worldview, seeking to determine what people can say, what they should believe, and which opinions society will tolerate. Qatar, whose citizens represent roughly 0.004% of humanity, invests billions in universities, media, lobbying, and political networks to expand its global influence. A tiny population with enormous resources and ambitions to shape institutions and public opinion far beyond its borders. Imperialists have spent centuries conquering territories and imposing their cultures, political systems, and beliefs on others. And then there are the Jews. We don’t need anyone to become Jewish. We don’t ask Christians to observe Shabbat, Muslims to eat kosher, or the Chinese to study the Torah. We don’t demand that other countries adopt Jewish law. We have no ambition to dictate how anyone else should live. We simply want to live as Jews, preserve our traditions, raise our children, and live freely in our ancestral homeland. Nothing less. Nothing more. Yet for centuries, we have been persecuted, expelled, massacred, and accused of plotting to control the world. The people who have no ambition to convert the world are constantly accused of controlling it. The people who simply want to preserve their identity are accused of threatening everyone else’s. And the world’s one Jewish state is portrayed as a threat to world peace. Perhaps the problem was never what Jews wanted to impose on the world. Perhaps the problem is that Jews have consistently refused to surrender their identity to those determined to impose their worldview upon us. We don’t want to rule the world. We don’t want to convert the world. We simply want the right to live in it as Jews. And apparently, even that is too much for some to accept.

"When my son was just eight years old, he came into school raving about the Israeli singer in the Eurovision Song Contest. Right away, one of his peers shouted “f*** Israel” in his face. And then two other friends started chanting “Free Palestine”. Daniel came home that night and asked me, “what is free Palestine?” I tried to explain, and I told him those kids are just repeating what the parents say. It’s not their fault. However, little eight-year-old kids chanting “free Palestine” and “f*** Israel” is quite crazy when you think about it. The previous year, we were at his best school friend’s house to watch Eurovision. They were nice people, educated… then when it came to the Israeli singer Yuval Raphael performing, after everything she went through as a survivor of the Nova festival massacre on October 7, the little brother aged five said: “Don’t vote for her, she’s bad. Because they started a war.” I didn’t tell Daniel about the horrific attack at Nova until he was nine, after I witnessed him playing a video game with characters dressed up as so-called “freedom fighters” slaughtering innocents. I put an instant end to his game and sat him down to explain. The day after, when I picked him up from school he said: “You know what? I told my teacher about the Nova festival. But what she said was ‘actually it’s the opposite’.” His understanding was that she was saying that the Jews attacked the Palestinians, but she was actually totally denying the criminality of what Hamas did on that day – she was saying that it was deserved because they were “freedom fighters”. But I never got to find out what she meant, because the school would not even give me an answer. That evening, I managed to find the deputy head, and Daniel came with me and explained everything in his own words, and they wrote it all down. The deputy head told me they would be addressing the situation with Daniel’s teacher but I never had anything back. I followed up with an email, but nothing. And then it was the end of school for the summer. In the email, I asked what they would put in place at the school to tackle antisemitism and educate the teachers and I also offered to help direct them to the right people to be able to do this. I suggested sending Daniel’s teacher to the Nova exhibition, so she could understand what happened on that day, and they said: “Oh, we can’t force the staff into politics.” But I replied: “This is not politics. This is an event now marked in history. Innocent people have been murdered.” Daniel and his work went downhill. His marks had been excellent on every subject. But this year we received the report and he had C-minus for everything, even art for which he had won a prize. His confidence went down to zero, his self-esteem became very low. He told us: “I’m stupid and I’ve got no friends.” As his parent, it’s been so difficult to see. But it all makes sense with the toxic environment from his teachers and peers. We found out that his teacher for year five would have been someone who came to me raving about going to see Kneecap at the Forum. That was last year when they were crying “Free Palestine” at every single show. It cemented my decision that this was not somewhere my son could attend any longer. As a parent I was devastated. We felt forced to move our son out of his school, and were desperate. I was born in France, and in 1940 my granddad had to take my mum out of school because of antisemitism, because the Vichy government ostracised all the Jews. My mum missed all those years of school. I can’t shake this feeling that I’m here now with my nine-year-old son – I’ve got to take him out of his school in England because of antisemitism in 2026. I’ve dealt with antisemitism since I was a young kid in France, born 20-odd years after the Second World War. I found out I was Jewish much later because my parents hid it because they were scared. My mother said the word “Jew” out loud for the first time when she was 54 years old. I moved to England in the 1990s partly because my family were saved by the British and American soldiers, and I wouldn’t have to suffer antisemitism. Things have deteriorated so badly here that we experience antisemitism even in primary school. There was no way Daniel was going back. I was preparing to home-school him until we found somewhere appropriate. But we were lucky and found the perfect Jewish school with space. It’s such a different environment, and it makes us understand just how toxic things were. We are seeing a massive improvement in our son. Coming back to school hasn’t been easy since something had broken deep in him – his loss of friendships and the fact he felt for the first time that adults couldn’t be trusted. However, the new environment and the Jewish values of his new school have clearly been very beneficial for him. Every day at pick up, we see Daniel with a smile on his face, chatty and energised from his day. And he seems to be rebuilding the self confidence that he totally lost. I could never again send him to a non-Jewish school. That’s finished. I lost all my trust and would always be cautious of what might come next. Our experience has been disturbing, but it’s not surprising because of where we are at today. You see it year after year and it’s getting worse. And with my family experience, we know where things are going. We need to be at the right place, not the wrong place, when it’s too late." As told to Elisa Bray by a Jewish mother.

No comment on Gaza itself but I’m pretty sure that if someone of high prestige on the left declared that ok yeah it’s not really about Palestine I just hate the jews and its ok to hate the jews, millions of people would go along with it. That’s what we learned from the trans insanity. The issue is not the issue (for the vast majority of people). The issue is secondary to being seen to have the same opinion as the people you hold in high esteem. Were one drunk Hasan Piker tweet away from pogroms. I saw it in the European Parliament yesterday. Gender critical women and Christians were called a “contamination” by the good-thinking people of the NGOcracy, and everyone in the room nodded enthusiastically. I know loads of people who have been fired for speaking at work about the importance of telling the truth about sex, but nobody stands up for us because they didn’t want to risk their own social standing. People will go along with anything at all as long as they think it puts them in the “camp of good”.
