Inspiring to be in Budapest with you @Isaac_Herzog and the whole inaugural cohort of Voice of the People!
An inspiring day with Voice of the People in Budapest! I established Voice of the People as President with the goal of bringing together a diverse group of Jewish leaders from Israel and around the world in a unique space for dialogue at a time of deep division and disagreement, and develop practical responses to the challenges facing the future of the Jewish people. Gathering in Budapest, we mark the conclusion of Voice of the People’s first council and see the results of the pioneering ideas council members are putting into action.

There are more Gazans alive today than there were before the October 7th attack. It’s a fakeocide, not a genocide.

There is the Middle East war we discuss out here, and there is what happens inside the room. @brett_mcgurk's new book takes us inside the actual room, where it all looks rather different. I interviewed him for @thetimes thetimes.com/world/middle-ea…

I was honored to award 6 Israeli heroes of the flydubai flight with the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism. I look forward to presenting the heroic Captain Smit Machchhar of India with the same award, once he fully recovers. The people of Israel salute you all!

Bret Stephens nails it. His take on Mamdani’s morally obscene statement, ostensibly issued to commemorate the October 7, 2023, massacre of Israelis. “It is obscene in the same way it would have been obscene if the mayor had commemorated the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11 last month with a perfunctory nod to the victims of the day, followed by a much longer denunciation of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. What happened on both Sept. 11 and Oct. 7 was undiluted evil, each an unprovoked visit of deliberate and maximalist violence on people who had done nothing to invite that violence other than being at the wrong place at the wrong time.” nytimes.com/2026/10/09/opini…

I'm still writing my analysis of the propaganda film masquerading as a documentary in NAZA, but in the meantime, I recommend watching this documentary which (like a documentary should) explains in detail, with no gaps, lies by commission, or agenda the Hamas practice of human shielding in Gaza. nazadocumentary.com

Navi Pillay deserves the Nobel Peace Prize like the Ayatollah deserved to be elected to the U.N. women’s rights commission.

My father, Elie Wiesel, received the Nobel Peace Prize for ensuring the Holocaust wouldn’t be forgotten. By honoring Navi Pillay, who accused Israel of genocide, the committee has betrayed his legacy. thefp.com/p/elie-wiesel-deat…

Captain Smit Machchhar, you are a hero of Israel, India, and all of humanity! In my letter to you which you received over the weekend, I shared our prayers for your full and speedy recovery. As I wrote in my letter, I look forward to welcoming you to Jerusalem once you regain your strength. On behalf of the people of Israel, I would be honored to present you with Israel’s highest recognition of civilian heroism, the Israeli Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism.

The Nobel Prize committee has lost its moral compass. It has awarded its highest honor to a bigot who built her career around inventing and propagating blood libels against the one and only Jewish state. Navi Pillay’s proudest achievement was to legitimize a corrupt prosecutor who turned to her fabrications against Israel hoping that by joining her bigoted lynch mob, he would beat a rape charge. Karim Khan, who was accused by his own ICC employees of raping and sexually molesting them, used Pillay’s lies to build a fake case against Israel. Pillay supplied the lies. Khan weaponized them. And now the misguided members of the Nobel Committee are honoring the woman who propagated this demonization of the Jews and this travesty of justice.

As per the old Jewish joke... What's the difference between a Jewish pessimist and a Jewish optimist? The pessimist says, "Things can't possibly get any worse." The optimist says, "Of course they can!"
