“We cannot preach inclusion while punishing dissent. We cannot promise to heal a divided country if we cannot tolerate disagreement among ourselves. And we cannot build a lasting majority by making Americans feel their concerns are unwelcome. Loyalty to a party should never require abandoning your values or judgment.”

AIPAC has a long history of hiding critical replies on X.com via standard platform tools, creating a chilling effect on free speech by punishing dissent. This is the same Robert Nairac who was allegedly commanding the unit that massacred The Miami Showband, an innocent group of musicians, and the same Nairac believed by many to have been present at the Kingsmill Massacre where ten Protestant workmen were slaughtered. Not a hero.
British Army Captain Robert Nairac was kidnapped, beaten, and executed while working undercover in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. Nairac served in the Grenadier Guards Regiment before moving into intelligence, where he was soon tasked to work undercover. He was in civilian clothing when he arrived at the Three Steps Inn in Dromintree on May 14th, 1977, possibly to meet a source, although he may have just been spotting and assessing the locals. A few of the bar patrons became suspicious after Nairac claimed to be Danny McErlean from the Ardoyne district of Belfast, since he did not have a distinctly Ardoyne accent. When he asked a woman if she knew how to get across the border undetected, the locals became convinced (correctly) that he was undercover. One man asked him to walk out in the parking lot to discuss something. Nairac was unarmed, having left his Browning Hi-Power and shoulder holster outside in his sedan. Outside, others were waiting. When he reached into his vehicle to retrieve his pistol, Nairac was struck over the head, and the weapon was wrestled away from him. He was bundled into a vehicle trunk and driven out to a stone bridge in a nearby field. There he was severely beaten and interrogated, although according to later accounts by the five men eventually convicted of murder, he gave away nothing, right until the end. Nairac was told to give his final confession to the Lord but was unable to recite the words due to his head injury. He was then shot in the head. His remains have never been recovered. He is one of the 16 Disappeared, men who were murdered and hidden during the Troubles. Since 1999, 13 of the 16 have been found, but Nairac and two others have not. There are longstanding rumors that he was put through a meat grinder and fed to farm animals. For episode 89 of the Spycraft 101 podcast I spoke with Toby Harnden, author of Bandit Country. We discussed the Troubles and its impact both on the residents of County Armagh and the British forces working to pacify the region. #ireland #belfast #ira #troubles #southarmagh youtube.com/watch?v=2iGT2sjd…

Every two or three years, thousands of green turtles leave the coast of Brazil and swim about 2,300 km (1,400 mi) into the open Atlantic to lay their eggs. Their target is Ascension Island. A speck of volcanic rock just 88 km² (34 sq mi) in size, in the middle of nowhere. 1/3

In 1991, the IRA launched a mortar bomb attack in Downing Street, London, with the aim of killing the Prime Minister and his Cabinet. Peter Gurney, head of the Explosives Section who defused one of the unexploded mortars, offered his professional assessment: “It was a remarkably good aim if you consider that the bomb was fired 250 yards with no direct line of sight. Technically, it was quite brilliant. If the angle of fire had been moved five or ten degrees, those bombs would actually have impacted on Number Ten.” Along with the Brighton bombing, this is the closest the IRA ever got to wiping out a PM. But as the IRA said at the time to their intended target, Margaret Thatcher, "Today we were unlucky, but remember we only have to be lucky once. You will have to be lucky always." Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

Incredible watching this back after the tragedy in Spain. This was given as a foul by AARON CONNOLLY which effectively ended Connolly’s career at Hull.
