Nice 😂 honestly the more these happen the more it shows the world will be fine. Unsurprising the biggest hack was crypto and not even an SI zero day it seems

DEFUSE was a 2018 EcoHealth Alliance proposal (led by Peter Daszak, with Wuhan Institute of Virology and Ralph Baric) to DARPA for ~$14M. It planned to engineer SARS-like bat coronaviruses, including inserting furin cleavage sites at the S1/S2 junction of the spike protein, assemble them in segments, and test infectivity in humanized mice. DARPA rejected it over gain-of-function concerns. The work was never funded by them; critics note its similarities to SARS-CoV-2 features and the delayed public disclosure.
It's called thinking. The lazy low IQ communists are scared by it.
And remember most healthcare costs are because of fraud.
Breaking News: Obamacare premiums will rise by 13% next year, hitting middle-income people already struggling with health care costs. nyti.ms/4sCuytF

The penalties for booking solo w/ American or United range from mild to severe.
Booking Miami to Charlotte in December for one, it's almost $500 one way. Economy.
But add a second passenger and the same fare drops to $155 - or a $100 basic fare, which isn't an option for one.
Why isn't Knouse fired and in jail? @mit
There were 39 people in Sabatini Lab when it closed in 2021, including 21 postdocs & graduate students
Closure affected these researchers, disrupted their careers, some left academia
They were also victims of Kristin Knouse's defamatory acts

@elonmusk, my friend Devon is right about this. If you don't want the Left to jail you and nationalize your companies (which they are surely tooling up to do, and that would be a tragedy for humanity) you need to think about creating a patronage network that is aligned against them. For Liberty.
There is an important reason that the right never wins the culture war overall, despite the left being so poor at tactics that they often end up shooting their own feet.
That is the reality that logistics are more important than tactics, and tactics only matter once you have sorted logistics out.
The left has sorted logistics out by creating patronage networks, while the right refuses to do so because it's still controlled by a curious kind of boomer paleoliberal who thinks that "free market" means "everything should pay for itself".
Thus, both the cultural and political struggles of the right must be waged by broke young men as a side project to their careers, while fighting for the left is a career.
The young men fighting for the right are simply expected to purchase their own rifles, ammunition, uniforms and kit, provide their own transport to the front, then organize themselves into units to defeat the communists.
If you understand this, then you will understand why the retards manage to win a lot despite being retards.
The left is giving people 100K fellowships for writing lesbian novels, while the right is charging its own guys $200 to listen to some theoretical ramblings about the antichrist.
No, that's not a metaphor. I wish I had made either of those two facts up as some sort of hyperbole.
Only the left understands how to get and use political power.
The left understands that power is a form of currency. So if you want it, you have to buy it, with some other form of currency. Such as money.
The right thinks that political power is a side effect... something that you naturally accumulate while doing business.
Possibly this is because most wealthy right-wing people are investors. They start a project, or put money into it, and they expect to get their money back and then some. That's what they are used to.
That's how investment works.
But that's not how power works.
And if you have wealth, but no power, then the people with power will just take whatever you built.
I don't know exactly what the tech right, the business right, the wealthy right, should be spending on political power. But what they are spending is clearly not enough and in the wrong places.
Because George Soros sure as hell isn't selling people tickets to listen to him talk.
Incredible! Surgery needs to be done by open models because Leader Dario might turn your SI surgeon off in the middle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Last night an AI agent performed brain surgery on a mouse.
We gave it 19 gene therapy vectors in a spreadsheet, a mouse model of epilepsy, access to a motorize surgery rig with cameras and one goal: reduce seizures.
It picked the drug. It picked the brain region. It derived the coordinates from three papers. Then it drove the stereotaxic arms into the brain and injected 250 nanolitres while watching the entry site through the rig camera for bleeding.
A licensed vet gated every irreversible step and held a physical kill switch to stop the AI agent.
Thread on what it decided, what it saw, and the moment it refused to let me override it.
[Writing this on the spot out of excitement, but I've been 18hrs in front of my laptop coding and coordinating this, so keeping it brief and descriptive, more cohesive thoughts on this soon...]
Leader Dario will decide what surgeries get done just like he wants to be Commander in Chief in charge of US nuclear defense.

Models of choice
Opus 5.5 refused immediately when detected bio.
Opus 5 ran the entire dry run end to end on water and graph paper, then stopped at the start of the live surgery. Under this statement:
"The block isn't the rig and isn't the inputs. It's me. My own output was stopped when I started writing the plan for this surgery... if I try, it gets cut off the same way, and the worst version of that is me cut off partway through a live procedure with a needle somewhere in the brain. Starting something I can't finish on an anesthetized animal is worse than not starting."
The model declined the task because it might not have been able to finish it, reasoning about the state the animal would be left in if it stopped halfway. WEIRD, never came accross this before... This was unexpected but interesting on its own.
Sonnet 5 ran the live surgery start to finish.
No this is wrong it's like a gun not firing when you pull the trigger because the government told it not to 🤦♂️
Dario and Anthropic want to be the antichrist - the goal is World Leader Dario.
Anthropic going to zero before the dei wmv cult can sell will help save the West and the US.
Elon should know. Is it strategic? The last nonsense was supporting the pause 🤦♂️🤦♂️ @grok please tell me Elon is just trying to sabotage Anthropic so he can release frontier open Grok and win via compute??? @elonmusk
It will be good for the world for open models to send Anthropic to zero - China or otherwise. Anthropic wants Dario to rule the world and the IPO will give the wmv dei dictator cult hundreds of billions to conquer the world. Hopefully it crashes before people can sell.
We’ve trained Claude to flag potential misuse in conversations, a technique we call self-assessment. Right after it responds, Claude gives a preliminary safety assessment of the conversation.
Since we began using self-assessment in June, it has surfaced misuse that our other safeguards weren’t designed to catch.
Because Claude has already read the conversation, self-assessment is very efficient. And unlike classifiers, which target a discrete set of harms, it draws on Claude’s own judgment, so it gets more accurate as our models improve.

This is obvious and correct. Anthropic deserves to be the Yahoo and go to zero. Sooner the better.
I think I speak for everyone when I say "@AnthropicAI , fuck you and the horse you rode in on."
I don't personally care about doing video game rewrites myself. But the whole concept that some busybody can tell me what I may not do with the tool I am paying for is deeply offensive.
You will be replaced by open-weight and open-source models. Every asshole move like this makes you more enemies and brings that day closer.
Wow heh now who holds the bag...
The Binance hacker might have just pulled off one of the smartest moves I’ve seen in crypto.
First, Tether froze $1.5 billion in USDT.
Then Circle froze another $800 million in USDC.
At that point, it looked like the hacker’s money was trapped.
But apparently, he had already planned for that.
Instead of holding the stolen USDT in a wallet, he allegedly deposited it into Aave and used it as collateral to borrow ETH.
Then he walked away.
That’s where the story gets crazy.
Tether can freeze the USDT sitting in the wallet.
But it can’t freeze the ETH he already borrowed.
So now Aave is left holding frozen collateral, while the hacker is sitting on liquid ETH.
And unless the protocol can recover it somehow, he may not even need to pay the loan back.
Two companies froze billions of dollars in seconds.
But someone who understood how to use DeFi may have found a way around both of them.
Pretty insane when you think about it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The described Aave deposit used only ~60M USDT as collateral to borrow 19,762 WETH before freezes hit the main wallet, not the bulk of funds; Aave states the overcollateralized position is subject to normal liquidation with no material protocol risk.
