Man Mamu keeps looking better and better after each game, and THIS is why the Lakers wanted him 💯💯💯💯💯

This is TEXTBOOK defense by Ja Morant in the pick-and-roll, forcing an offensive foul on Walker Kessler right here!
And this is EXACTLY what you’re supposed to do anytime you see the guard speeding up.
TEXTBOOK DEFENSE!

Matisse Thybulle has hit 12 3-pointers and is shooting 50% from deep through his first 5 games with the Lakers.
He’s off to the best shooting start of his career and he’s introduced a new “no-dip” jump shot to his game.
Thybulle is getting his shot off quicker than ever 🔥

This is why i liked him as a starter. He's shown in the past 3 years he's an improved shooter. Ppl still run wit this narrative he cant score for some reason. Blitz Luka/Austin all yu want. We got Thybulle & Ziaire waitin in them corners

No excuses for JJ Redick now. LeBron James, Rui Hachimura and Deandre Ayton are no longer on this roster. They got younger, faster, and more versatile defenders. There’s no reason they should be giving up 136 to the Portland Trail Blazers. Lakers gotta fix that ASAP.

“Portland is back on the map!" 🔥
After a huge win in LA, Dame Lillard, Ja Morant, Deni Avdija & co. are already gelling.
How high are you on the Blazers this year? 👀

Seven 3-point shots made by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 4th Quarter alone ? That’s clutch
"They're a really good basketball team. We saw that tonight."
JJ Redick discusses the defensive struggles that led to the #Lakers first loss of the season vs. Portland, 136-129.

I’ll never care how “nice” he is offensively. Both your lead guards can’t be defensive liabilities.

All that ball hogging got Doncic tired already and it’s only been four games plus he’s not even 30 years old yet 😭

DeMarcus Cousins gets confused at Danny Green and Gilbert Arenas after they say that Luka Dončić isn’t under the pressure to win a championship because he’s still in that "new faces of the NBA" category, and now that Victor Wembanyama is here, they won't hold it against him if he doesn't win. Boogie tells Gil it’s weird how he and Lakers fans are protecting him because he is a max player and Reaves is a max player—there should be pressure.

It's been a build up but you've really seen Ja Morant find a level of comfort in his in between game. Working to get to his spot and it's not a midrange pullup, he's getting to this push shot in the paint.

This team is lowkey crazy
- Clingan & Robert Williams protecting the rim
- Toumani/Jrue at the point of attack on defense
- Ja Dame Deni Scoot as the bucket getters
If they make another move for a versatile 2-way wing that can guard 1-4 that might take them over the top.
