Listen to this @bphillipsonMP. It is what local authorities are faced with from January. Please don't proceed with this poorly thought through tax on education. It will result in chaos and could even cost the state money. That's a lot to pay to make a political point?

Replying to @SteveLawrence_ @bphillipsonMP
There has been no engagement with the sector; parents' letters, emails, & pleas to meet & discuss have been ignored. Challenging comments on @bphillipsonMP 's Facebook page/posts have been deleted. When this causes chaos & damage to the system, I hope she will be held accountable

I seem to recall something about “stop the chaos” but seems you have devised a tax which is causing nothing BUT chaos, with CHILDREN at the heart of it.
FIX IT.

Talking about the importance of peace & quiet for his son’s exams has struck a nerve for anyone impacted by Keir’s education tax, it wasn’t a smart move at all. Education & “my children’s needs” in the same sentence should be avoided in future.

Far from acceptable @RachelReevesMP @KemiBadenoch .
Not only badly thought out but envy politics damaging school children.
And worse. One letter says courses between private and state schools may not match for the same exam. What is the @educationgovuk doing?
@bphillipsonMP
Parents transferring schools due to @UKLabour's education tax are being...
• told there's no space
• placed on long waiting lists
• told the nearest school is "very far from your home"
• told moving will "seriously disadvantage" their children.
