It’s called the “burnerverse”: a sprawling network of anonymous college-sports accounts that can look, at first glance, like ordinary shitposting. Then I started looking closer. The reason they use similar codes is they are using the same centralized security master vendor for the psuedo-CUSIP. In this case, the security master from Broadridge. Other security masters will be different, and some large brokers assign their own. - DVG
