Per the Richard Childress Racing post-race press release, Austin Hill lost power coming to the checkered: “We were close. Our United Rentals Chevrolet was good and we worked all day to put ourselves in a position at the end. Made moves when we had to, pushed and stayed in line when we needed to. The car had speed and I’m proud of the work the guys put in to qualify on the front row and have a shot at the win. Just lost power coming to the checkered.”

Two things from NASCAR: 1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words) 2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.

There was a lot of attention being paid to the 35 car in the garage area after the race. Saw NASCAR officials and 23XI team members looking it over as it was covered up No photos as I got the "keep moving" sign.
