Unironically, this attitude would clear up most of the world's problems.

Thanks but no. I found one of Havens' papers to be invalid. I don't have time for another.

If you look at the literature, I see that the drawn waterline's angular divergence from the horizontal waterline of the first image is a common measure of correctness. Height or volume conservation is usually not measured.

You put the bottle on a table and fulcrum the bottle's corner, so water level rises (if you've tried to push over a water barrel, this is physically intuitive). He rotates image about the water level's centerpoint, so B should have the "same level" as A. Both wrong answers. :(

I'm pretty sure the majority of authors across all field are very nervous about objective rigor coming... but it will be good for everyone including them. You know you may be among the last cohort of significant human debunkers? Wow. Have to wait for AI to review your work, tho.

Shevlin just donated to shrimp. The EA text said ~/shrimp have no voice to express their p(suffering)>0 suffering/. That is an overt narrative attempt to summon empathy through the paradox of fiction. They think making humans empathize with shrimp -> donate.

/We are not doing this thing we do overtly in every call-to-action, and implicitly at every logical step defending our philosophy./ Sure. Maybe back that up? Because it looks like you're quite intentionally summoning fictional-pain into minds that we actually know do "suffer".

Easy to say, hard to prove.

If water-related icons are too challenging, start with other ones like scales. Can you draw a scale icon when it is tilted? Try it. I believe you can.

Stare at the answer, rotate your phone, pretend you aren't the origin of the force of gravity. The task tests ability to transform physics coordinates to another subject's perspective. A deep empathy kids learn, adults forget. You can get back there! Practice. Copy by hand.

You are probably an older male, and believe a *drawing of water* moves (behind your back, passively) to orient itself to you as you turn a page or move around a room. Quite normal for our population due to our privilege.

For everyone checking comments for the right answer. The task is to copy a rotated icon true to its internal worldline rather than injecting subjective orientation. You also have to overcome the intuition that a drawing of water is "wet". Men lose this ability as they age.

You know you (and anyone who agrees with you on this) are a much bigger risk for "jump into a bear enclosure to make friends" than a sane person, right? :) If this test were real, zoos and preserves would probably bar your entrance for your own safety.

Innocent? What would a "guilty" animal look like?

It is an ancient principle that very occasionally forces us to remember that the price of a human being is incomparable to animals or economic value. Kill the man-killer. People on here "what about the zoo's investment, relationships between trainer and tiger?" So? What.

It is shocking how many humans have defected from the community of people investing in Us. The tiger is "innocent". Don't be "cruel" to AI. Murder has no moral valence if physics is causally closed. Insects matter more than people. Etc. We are doomed, unless philosophers...

If humanity stumbles onto the very last Neanderthal, and it starts mauling the very worst of us (Zack Zhang for e.g.) because the guy tried to give it flowers or what, we still shoot the Neanderthal. We are human... Tribalism is the foundation of ethics.

What about this makes wildlife conservation difficult? I assume we are talking outside zoos.

That is one of the most annoying things, personally, about zoonati. They made not-playing a winning move for China. Without Holmes, Worobey, AR, etc's "nail in the coffin", "100%", "raccoon dog racoon dog!!" slop output, China might have had some motive to engage.
