John Redvers 18 July 1928 - 28 March 2021. 4 pictures of the man, husband, grandfather and extraordinarily talented artist, I was proud to call my father. He would have called himself a portrait painter but he was so much more.

'No winds are blowing in our favour'. Sadly, that sentiment feels all too familiar for many involved in the horse racing industry.
From trainers and stable staff, to hospitality workers and racegoers, thousands of people depend on a thriving racing industry.
We asked those involved why policymakers need to better understand the realities of racing before introducing legislation that affects it.

🟢Bookmakers paying £millions to help those with addiction
🟢Charity work, helping those who need it most
🟢Children using racetracks for schoolwork — fantastic for maths
🟢Second most watched sport in the country
🟢Daily interest and participation
🟢Protects the Thoroughbred breed
🟢Terrestrial TV coverage
🟢Veterinary expertise
🟢Strengthens diplomatic ties across the world
🟢Loved by Kings, Queens, world leaders and celebrities
🏇🙏🙏🙏
A huge thank you to @arenaracingco @TattsCheltenham @GoffsUK @TheTBA_GB @LevyBoard for working together to fund and run this scheme to further strengthen British National Hunt breeding and Point to Pointing 👊
A new bonus scheme, launched this weekend and running alongside the GB Pointing bonus, will provide extra reward for owners of British-bred winners of selected maiden PTP races. Shirley Anderson-Jolag from @Tattersalls1766 tells Nick Luck more.
