The tricolour 🇮🇳 is on the FIDE Chess Olympiad podium again!!
Our Open & Women’s teams have fought with courage, played with belief and carried the hopes of 1.4 billion Indians on every board.
And today, they bring home Silver🥈(Open Team) and Bronze🥉(Women Team) medals from the Olympiad.
We came to Samarkand as defending champions. We came for Gold. It wasn’t to be this time.
Proud of our players, coaches and the entire team.
The fact that anything less than Gold now feels unfinished tells you how far Indian chess has come.
India. We play. We fight. We win. 🇮🇳

Congratulations Timur Turlov and Viswanathan Anand Sir!
Two extraordinary journeys, one shared vision, and now a new chapter for world chess.
May this partnership take FIDE, and the game we all love, to unprecedented heights.

Today is a victory for chess - for every player, every federation and everyone who believes in the potential of our game!
We are all one family and we will continue working as one. This is a great responsibility and a vote for a better future of our sport.
Now is the time to move chess forward - together!

And somewhere in these classrooms could be one of the Grandmasters who takes India from 99 to 200.
That’s what CHESS+ is really about, taking chess to more children, opening doors, and giving talent a chance to find its way.
It also brings alive Hon. PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s vision for NEP 2020, education that goes beyond textbooks and helps every child discover what they can truly become.
Thank you, @jayantrld ji, for believing in this journey and making it possible.

India has 99 Grandmasters. The next one may be sitting in a Navodaya school today!
Launched CHESS+ at National Bal Bhavan with @NVS_HQ and @aicfchess — bringing structured chess coaching, certified mentors, and competition to 30 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across Delhi NCR.
Four Grandmasters. Hundreds of students. One unforgettable afternoon. Grateful to GMs @srinathchess @pawnof64squares @vaibhavschess @chessgmkunte and @narangnitin for showing our students what dedication to the game looks like up close.
Chess equipment for all 30 schools made possible through CSR partners via @vidyanjali_edu. Because every child deserves a board to think on.

19 years ago, it began with an India cap.
Today, another proud chapter is added to the story.
