Replying to @Rothmus
Those who are opposed to corporations and favor government do not realize that government is simply the largest, most monopolistic corporation of all and it has a monopoly on violence.

Except your sock puppets?
Tomorrow, I’ll be unplugged from my social media channels. I’m doing it for Mac Holdsworth. For every Australian child who’s encountered online harm. And for the parents who deserve a safer digital world for their kids.

Yep, just checked our model. It’s running at 1%. Imagine building a $4 billion-dollar asset to operate at 1%. See the 3D visualization shows a flat line from SA to NSW, so a balanced network won’t have much power flowing. My understanding is that only 150MW of the 800MW capacity has been commissioned so far. I wonder how comfortable AEMO will be allowing the full 800MW of intermittent generation onto the NSW network. Imagine 700MW disappearing in minutes, with the batteries flat and coal not dispatched. 😬
Has the new SA-NSW been constrained to zero flow - effectively been turned off? If so it may be due to the unexpected dispatch outcomes over the last few days, and I can’t help wondering which generators and retailers lost the most money… @WattClarity might have some answers soon.

We are screwed
Well, that was wild. I'm at the Australian Parliament and just left a meeting with two staffers for the governing party. They told us that the government needed more power to censor things like the upcoming US execution of Nidal Hasan. When I asked why they needed to censor that video, one said it was to prevent copycat killings. Copycat killings by governments? I asked. Er, no, they said. Copycat killings like of a backpacker, several decades ago. So, under that logic, I pointed out, the government should censor things like last year's Bondi massacre, where two Muslims killed 15 people, no? Well, that was news, they said. Didn't they realize their bill would allow the government to censor news? They didn't seem to know, or care. They also admitted that they did not know that the bill would allow the government to create and operate an unlimited number of fake social media accounts to attack its political enemies and spread disinformation. Having presented them with information they had never heard about a bill they had clearly not read, they emphasized to us, strenuously, that they were moving forward with the bill. So there you have it. The government wants the power to arbitrarily censor scenes of violent crime, or violence, for any reason. And it wants the power to use an unlimited number of fake accounts to wage offensive disinformational warfare against the Australian people. Given that the Bondi massacre last year increased public opposition to mass migration, and support for the populist One Nation Party, it seems obvious that the government wants to censor such events in order to protect its political power. It's quite telling how obediently governing party members insist such a law is needed without even knowing what's in it.

Headed to Australia to express my solidarity with its freedom-loving citizens fighting the government’s sinister plan for mass censorship and “sock puppet” info-war against the people. The defenders of freedom are once again the underdogs, but our cause is righteous. LFG! 🇦🇺
Anonymous online accounts threaten democracy and must be banned, say politicians. But now, the Australian government wants to use anonymous "sock puppet" bot accounts as part of its broader push for sweeping online censorship. Terrifying, unprecedented, and Orwellian.

Australia’s coal, gas and uranium represent roughly 2,000–2,500 years of stored energy at today’s electricity use. By comparison, all our installed batteries store roughly 20 minutes. Thousands of years vs minutes. Our leaders are completely and utterly incompetent.
Currently, batteries can power the US for less than 18 minutes To avoid blackouts, solar and wind need months of storage, costing trillions Fossil fuels don't need storage because they are their own storage Sources: Solar or wind alone needs nearly 3 months of storage (22.4% of the annual energy consumption for solar and 24.9% for wind) frontiersin.org/journals/env… eia.gov/electricity/data/eia…, eia.gov/electricity/monthly/…, ir.eia.gov/ngs/ngs.html, eia.gov/petroleum/supply/wee…, eia.gov/electricity/annual/t…, eia.gov/totalenergy/data/mon…, eia.gov/totalenergy/data/mon…, eia.gov/totalenergy/data/mon…, eia.gov/totalenergy/data/mon…, eia.gov/totalenergy/data/mon…, eia.gov/energyexplained/elec…, docs.nrel.gov/docs/fy23osti/…, doi.org/10.3389/fenvs.2023.1…, construction-physics.com/p/e…

“In the last 20 years, the world spent $10 trillion on wind, solar, and batteries. It hasn’t made it to 3% of global energy, and it’s just driven up prices.” - U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright Everyone see what a scam this has always been?

The Governments of Australia on all three levels, council, state, and federal are full of people who have never worked in the private sector and their decisions constantly show that. We need a complete overhaul of governance. NOW.
Just listen to this. There are tens of thousands of stories of trades being pushed out of business by red tape, green tape, safety tape and resulting insurances. This tiler is far from alone. The fact that the man won't show his face on camera tells you how nasty things have actually become. People are afraid of the government and the unions. I see this every day, and it is getting worse. We need to expose it. Spread the word.

BREAKING: The Sydney Swans have essentially admitted they completely botched the 5 week player suspensions. Despite standing down Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, Riley Bice, and James Jordon for the rest of the AFL season over a late night incident in Melbourne, the club has already welcomed all five players back to Moore Park HQ today. CEO Matthew Pavlich and Coach Dean Cox confirmed the group returned for routine end of season exit reviews, with Pavlich stating he wants them to “be themselves” and “do what they normally do” By bringing them back into the fold just days after being knocked out of the preliminary final, and right after banning them from attending the Brownlow Medal count where Heeney polled a massive 26 votes, the club’s strict “season ending”stance looks incredibly hollow. With Victoria Police laying zero charges and the AFL completely stepping back, the Swans' aggressive self imposed penalties look more like a rushed PR panic than a justified disciplinary move.
