Imprisoned criminals don't count as unemployed in the data. Nor does the public cost of their welfare count as welfare expenditure in the data.

A randomly selected gay man is ~2x as likely to have HIV as a straight man who tested positive for HIV already.
They quite literally test all the blood anyway because HIV isn't a "gay" disease!

NEW: Multiple federal sources confirm to @FoxNews that the suspect arrested for using a sledgehammer to behead a WW2 Iwo Jima monument in Quantico, VA on Tuesday is a Mexican illegal alien & former DACA recipient whose legal status expired this year. Miguel Alonso Maldonado Soriano has now been charged with felony destruction of property and trespass with intent to damage property. Per federal sources, Soriano illegally crossed into the U.S. in December 1999. He was granted DACA by the Obama administration in 2014 and had it extended for years, most recently by the Biden admin in 2024, but he lost his DACA status in August of this year when it wasn’t renewed by the Trump administration.

Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

WE AUDITED ALL 58 FOREIGN-BORN FEDERAL JUDGES SITTING ON AMERICA'S BENCH FOR LIFE. I spent over a billion tokens and about 45 days on this deep dive. Through this deep dive and the over a million court cases we have combed through, we have launched an American First Index (AFI) for the site. (More on it as we improve the metrics and refine deeper.) Out of 58 sitting foreign-born Article III judges, 43 were appointed by Biden or Obama. Among those drawn from ACLU and public defender pipelines, border enforcement is blocked over 80% of the time and 60% of criminal sentences fall below federal guidelines. We have added an interactive tool on bench receipts that allows you to drill down and look at how each of these judges behave on the bench. This is just the start. The federal judges are easier to identify than the state level judges. I assume there are 100s if not 1000+ foreign born or first-gen American on our benches. They do not judge on our laws, they judge on the culture they came from. This is a huge reason our country has lost its identity.

Avoiding taxes to fund leftist politics worldwide isn't "the public good"
Between this and our prior commitments, roughly 20% of all Anthropic equity will be dedicated to the public good, and that commitment can grow as Anthropic grows. We plan to use these funds to ensure more people can share in the benefits of AI, and to increase our ability to provide funding to deal with its risks.

The problem is that their definition of "public good" is helping everyone else, not the American public. If they would commit to helping America and Americans, that would be one thing, but this reeks of USAID 2.0, just another way to funnel billions out of our own economy.

There is a CONGRESSIONAL STATUTE that says an alien who is a member of a communist or totalitarian regime, they are INADMISSIBLE under immigration statutes. There is compelling evidence her father as a Colonel in the army of a Marxist-Leninist dictator, and commanded a regiment that committed atrocities against a tribal minority. He lied about that and claimed he was a teacher. She claims he was a teacher even though she has described living in luxurious surroundings as a young girl in Somalia. Being "inadmissible" means his naturalization as a citizen was ALWAYS void. She claims derivative naturalization through him. If our laws have any meaning, she must be denaturalized and deported. She can then seek an immigrant visa and start the process over again on her own as an adult.
A shocking thing to do to a sitting congresswoman.

NEW: Per federal source to @FoxNews, the Saudi national arrested by the FBI for allegedly placing an eavesdropping device at OpenAI has a green card (lawful permanent resident) and was in the process of trying to naturalize into a U.S. citizen at the time of his arrest. I’m told Abdulrahman Alfozan filed his naturalization application last summer and it was still pending at the time of his arrest, with USCIS still needing to interview him, and his green card was approved in 2020. It’s unclear when/how Alfozan first came to the U.S., but I’m told there are records of him flying into San Francisco in 2018 and NYC in both 2019 & 2020. His DHS photo, courtesy of source 👇🏻

I didn’t think I could dislike the H-1B program more than I already did. I was wrong.
Statement on Trump Suspending Microsoft from the PERM Program: This is a crucial issue for me as the top Democrat on the Immigration Subcommittee, the only member of Congress to have actually had an H-1B visa, and the Representative for tens of thousands of Microsoft workers. The administration has been consistently working to take away legal pathways for immigrants to contribute their talents to our country, and this is yet another of those attacks. The PERM program is the first step toward an employment-based green card for countless workers who want to contribute to this country, and it lays out a clear process with steps to ensure that this is a net benefit to our economy and does not harm American jobs. Our economy, our communities, and our families depend on immigrants in many sectors, including the tech sector, and heavy-handed attacks like this only hurt efforts to build a strong, stable, and diverse base of workers who have legal pathways to come and be in the United States while also protecting U.S. workers from unscrupulous employers. You don’t fix a broken immigration system by taking a hammer to legal immigration. Microsoft has been a leader in advocating for comprehensive immigration reforms that modernize an antiquated immigration system and provide more — not fewer — legal pathways for immigrants from all over the world to work here and be with their families. Targeting Microsoft or the PERM program in this way simply undermines legal immigration and weakens America’s ability to innovate.

ICYMI: According to a new DHS IG report, the Biden administration ICE received over 3.1 million leads on visa overstays during FY21-FY24, including more than 100,000 flagged as public safety threats. They arrested just eight of them. Almost zero enforcement of visa overstays.
NEW: A new DHS Inspector General report finds the Biden administration took almost no enforcement action against visa overstays, including public safety threats, and arrested only a handful out of millions. The numbers are stunning. From FY21-FY24: - ICE received over 3.1 million visa overstay leads, roughly 104,000 of which had public safety or national security concerns. But that resulted in only 496 investigations by ICE (2%) and ONLY EIGHT ARRESTS. - A September 2021 Mayorkas policy memo directed ICE to target only illegal immigrants considered “Priority 1 leads” (highest threat to public safety). Out of 1,769 viable Priority 1 visa overstay leads, ICE only conducted 84 investigations (5%), resulting in ONLY 2 ARRESTS. - The majority of the more than 3 million visa overstay leads were deemed “non-priority”. 2.8 million of these “non-priority” leads were sent to ICE for investigation, leading to just 5 investigations and ONLY TWO ARRESTS. (out of 2.8 million!) Another shocking piece of the report, visa overstays tracked by CBP exploded by 364% during Biden’s first full year in office (Fiscal Year 2022). CBP tracked visa overstays in FY2021: 171,269 CBP tracked visa overstays in FY2022: 795,167 THE DHS IG concluded the 2021 Mayorkas memo is largely behind the lack of enforcement. “ICE conducted few nonimmigrant overstay lead-initiated investigations and arrested even fewer foreign nationals who stayed beyond or violated the terms of their admission because of the September 2021 policy that directed ICE’s limited resources only to leads posing a threat to national security, public safety, and border security. When ICE did attempt to pursue action on a lead, it encountered challenges verifying addresses and locating the foreign nationals present in the United States. Further, ICE did not have sufficient resources to pursue all overstay leads.” Link to report: oig.dhs.gov/sites/default/fi…

Working out fair odds for AI Doomer predictions... I'd happily give any of them 10:1 that AI does not cause global population to drop by 1B in the next 1 year. It's a tricky problem, since their beliefs are ultimately unfalsifiable. Can't collect your winnings post-extinction.

10% pdoomers must believe that a mere decimation of global human population is a higher-probability event than total extinction, right? I'll gladly pay out $100k against your paltry, nominal $10k/year pdoom insurance premium.

One party sends the FBI after you; the other party writes reports about how naughty it was that they sent the FBI after you.
Five years ago, Attorney General Merrick Garland issued an infamous memorandum at the urging of the National School Boards Association and White House officials, directing the FBI and United States Attorneys to consider looking for a federal hook to prosecute parents exercising their right to free speech. Today, we are releasing the “Report to Expose the Weaponization of Government Against Parents in Schools” which details Weaponization of the Department against these parents — from attempting to get the National Security Division involved to ignoring repeated warnings from employees that leadership’s actions could be unconstitutional. Along with the report, we’ve released hundreds of exhibits and emails that make official and verify what many Americans had guessed: the Garland DOJ worked hand in hand with WH officials and the National School Boards Association to chill free speech and parental rights while they threatened to prosecute parents and label them domestic terrorists. Read the full report and our remedies here: justice.gov/opa/media/146420…
