Why do they always defend journalists who have faced questions on twitter and never the journalists whose families are attacked by the regime they support?
Journalists express all sorts of opinions every day, but when @asmashirazi does, even in the most measured words, she becomes a target of vicious attacks. Some people follow her every word, not to understand her views, but to bully her. It’s a pattern.
This mob mentality is exactly why journalists now avoid expressing views that challenge the popular narrative.

Yes my English comprehension is as good as that of a sub inspector or his superiors who take inspirations from a TikToking chief executive of a province. When the CM is angry the SHOs like me will be lost in translation and the accused may not live to correct it.

Chief minister of #Pakistan’s most populous province #Punjab promoting an unlawful act/settlement of score, indirectly mob violence and encouraging out of court revenge. Scary and worrying!
This is a tight slap in the face of those entitled, spoiled brats who look down upon the poor as if they were lesser human beings. They arrogantly believe that money and power put them above the law, allowing them to exploit, intimidate, and act with impunity.
Let me make one thing absolutely clear: As Chief Minister of Punjab, I stand firmly with the oppressed, regardless of how powerful their oppressors may be. No amount of wealth, influence, or political connections should enable anyone to escape accountability. Justice is not a privilege reserved for the rich and powerful; it is a fundamental right of every citizen. No one is above the law, and no victim should ever have to fight alone simply because the perpetrator has money or influence.

When will we see the video of this poor bakery worker getting his revenge on Shehbaz Sharif’s son-in-law? Charity begins at home.

There is a simple principle here:
Do NOT take money from entities you are supposedly fighting against.

If you had a useful degree, you'd understand what journalism meant. Right now, focus on returning $180k to the evil US empire. I don't take taxpayer money from any country, unlike you. I pay taxes. I'm a useful member of society, you're a useless leech.

He was always on the right side of history. A true leader. No one in Pakistan will ever come near his stature. No one.

A chief minister publicly ordering for torture in police custody. Shame!
Why can’t we just legally punish the accused but this requires some hard work and competent prosecution and police.

In a recent rape case, it was revealed that the accused’s wealthy family allegedly offered 1.5–2 crore to the victim in exchange for withdrawing her allegations, despite her statement already having been recorded under Section 164. It was further alleged that the judge who granted bail to the accused had also been bribed. If these allegations are true, they raise deeply disturbing questions about the integrity of the justice system and the vulnerability of rape survivors to financial pressure and the misuse of power. I will continue to keep a close eye on such cases to ensure that no rapist or perpetrator escapes justice simply because he has money, influence, or connections. Justice must never be for sale, and no one should be above the law.

Ms Chief minister are you justifying the extrajudicial killings of your force CCD?

Is vigilante justice now official policy in Punjab? An assault should be punished through due process, not retaliatory slaps staged at a police station. As Chief Minister, your duty is to uphold the rule of law,not glorify revenge. the rule of law cannot be replaced by public humiliation. Shocking!!

Respectfully, ma’am, if your interpretation of ‘no one is above the law’ includes slapping a man who is already handcuffed, you might want to revisit the meaning of the rule of law.

The state is labelling Murad a terrorist and a facilitator of the TTP despite the fact that he was raising his voice against the proposed TTP settlement in Swat in August 2022 and mobilising the public against it. For doing so, he was threatened, chased and pursued and his life was put at risk. The irony is glaring: the man who opposed the Taliban’s return is now being portrayed as their facilitator
For what? Usurping power from democratically elected leaders, violating the constitution, and committing the biggest crime under the Pakistani constitution as defined by Article 6?
If there was law, she would get a death sentence.
The problem with Pakistanis is, no matter what level they reach, they don't get the basics.
General sb if I can barge into your house and take better care of your family than you, does that mean that I should do it from that moment onwards? This how things should work?
