Ofcom has a £233.2 MILLION budget this year. Its operating costs have risen by almost 50% in 4 years.
Its accounts include a £2.889 MILLION subscription to the UN’s International Telecommunication Union. (It’s not a union it’s an agency of the UN)
Ofcom represents Britain at the ITU, which is actively helping implement the UN’s Global Digital Compact, which Britain adopted with no vote by Parliament adopted in 2024 as part of the Pact for the Future (this is a shocker of an agreement by the way, all detailed in my book)
Ofcom has explicitly linked its media literacy work to 4 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
So we have an unelected British regulator, participating in international institutions shaping global digital governance, while acquiring ever greater powers over online platforms and information.
So who is deciding the direction of Britain’s digital policies? Parliament, or an interconnected system of international organisations. Or are they now the same thing?

Germany just told us we'd have to fire one of our 3 founders to qualify for funding.
I was in talks with a German state-backed fund of fund managing billions, with one single mandate: invest in German funds to drive innovation and economic growth in the country.
They literally told me they like us a lot and are also impressed by our track record and performance so far, and even though not everyone in their team is a fan of our thesis, they believe in it.
But they passed for a whole different reason:
Because our all-male team of 3 people isn't "diverse enough" lol.
they literally told me: hire two more female partners (impossible on the economics of a fund our size), or let one of the three of us go to make room for a quota hire. do that, and they'd strongly consider investing.
I won't even get into how discriminatory this is toward men in the first place. nobody takes that seriously anyway, and honestly I don't care.
but what actually gets me is something bigger: as a German, I have to face the fact that the whole world continuing to laugh at Germany and overall Europe is completely justified.
a system that quietly kills the smallest, hungriest teams, the exact ones this money was created to support. and then everyone acts surprised that talent and capital keep leaving the country.

🚨 MILITARY CONVOY FILMED IN WARSAW. WHAT WAS ITS MISSION?
Military trucks were filmed passing through Rembertów on Friday, five days before Poland’s Independence March.
With tensions already high over the Constitutional Tribunal, the timing has drawn attention. The convoy’s unit and mission remain unconfirmed.
Poland’s Defence Ministry should say which unit was filmed, where it was headed and why it was there.

People of my generation should be very careful when they're crowing about sending young men to war against Russia, Iran or whoever else.
Our lifetimes have been almost entirely peaceful - we have not had to watch an entire generation of young men marched off to fight and die in a foreign land.
We have been blessed with peace.
Yet some of the loudest voices demanding conscription or the dropping of bombs are men who will never be asked to fight. They have profited from that peace, lived comfortable lives from that peace.
It's very easy to be brave with somebody else's blood on the line.
There are circumstances in which our nation must fight, but our aim must be to give young men a reason to believe in that fight, to give them a Britain worth defending.
Because millions of young white men are looking at a system that hates them, that has made them strangers in their own towns, that has decimated their industry?
Why on earth would they bleed for that?
I agree.
Our establishment has spent years alienating young white men and now they suddenly remember their value when they need those lads to fight their wars.
Restore Britain's duty is to give these young men a country worth fighting for, certainly NOT another endless foreign war to die in.
I follow this man.

The National Farmers’ Union has just officially announced a mass rally in London for November 19th to fight the devastating new inheritance tax rules.
The NFU President has called this policy a direct betrayal that will rip the heart out of British food security and crush multi-generational family businesses.
