Elizabeth Holmes completely blanking every time she doesn’t have an answer that’s already PR and legal approved

The idea that Amanda Seyfried owes Holmes an apology for portraying her in a miniseries is asinine, especially coupled with the fact that Holmes has never once been sorry about her own actions (including driving a person to suicide!) and still believes her own bullshit
I think Nathan Fielder did a really good job with You Can See Everything. Especially in showing how unwilling Amanda Seyfried was to acknowledge her own role in potentially harming another person. He had everyone looking at one another and questioning everyone else’s intentions, while seemingly being completely unwilling to examine their own behavior. I thought Amanda’s resistance to doing that was especially revealing
I also obviously think Billy is terrible. I think he’s cruel and exploitative. I’ve seen Elizabeth’s tweets for years and thought they were her. Finding out they’re his was jarring and sad.
But as much as I dislike Billy, I think he made a very good point. Why would he care what Amanda thinks? She’s an actress who has profited from portraying his wife as a bizarre and dishonest and manipulative freak to an audience that is largely voyeuristic, incredibly binary in their moral thinking, and seemingly unable to separate fiction from reality
I don’t think that Amanda needed to defend Elizabeth or excuse anything she’s done but I do think it’s bizarre how unwilling she seemed to consider that she might have contributed to another person’s suffering

I had finally made peace with being roasted by Elizabeth Holmes. Then I found out in a crowded movie theater that it was actually her weird husband Billy. That feels significantly more humiliating.
I saw You Can See Everything for the 2nd time yesterday. Here's what struck me the 2nd time:
- Elizabeth just doesn't say much at all, even though she talks. It seemed more lawyer-coached the 2nd time around
- Boy does Elizabeth's father look scared of Billy...
- if Billy succeeds in getting profits from the movie, it should go to restitution, especially for the smaller investors who lost life savings. Duh!
- every scene in the 2nd half is Billy looking worse than he did in the previous scene. It's even more striking 2nd time! wow

Filmmaking can never be ethical. You are stealing light and sound and putting it inside a little box. That is not nice

something that i think gets lost in the theranos stuff is that it’s not just that the stuff didn’t work and they lied, though they did, it’s that what they were trying to do was straight up not possible in any way.

Their obsession with the quote is fascinating because … she did create a character. She put on a fake voice and went to work in Steve Jobs cosplay.
It’s bizarre to watch them cling to a word as if it might somehow disprove everything if one reporter was wrong about something.
In today's @nytimes Backstory newsletter, I talk to Amy Chozick about the new Elizabeth Holmes documentary and Holmes's dispute over a quote from Chozick's NYT profile of her. The movie brings up the quote several times as it assesses Holmes's veracity. nytimes.com/2026/10/22/insid…

It’s really funny that Elizabeth Holmes is the reason so many Safeways have nice waiting rooms next to their pharmacy that are never being used and are usually locked

I’ve known Kevin and DJ for over a decade and worked for DJ at LinkedIn. Excited for @warpsciences: tighter OODA loops for science. AI helps plan experiments, robots execute, results improve the models. Faster cycles of observing, orienting, deciding, and acting to discover new medicines. 🚀
💥 Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster.
We’ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America.
I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.

To me there’s one very obvious reason Elizabeth Holmes doesn’t seem to understand what she did was wrong in You Can See Everything that I haven’t seen anyone mention and it’s not because “her mind works differently” it’s because a lawyer told her never to admit guilt on camera after a court orders you to pay $452 million in restitution if you were ever hoping to get it reduced.

They badly fumbled the bag (to the extent its existed) to create a narrative shift and garner sympathy for Holmes and build momentum for a pardon. "What would Charlie do?" is the only move they have.
I think this documentary has been good for consolidating the huge troves of evidence we have against her.
Obviously some people are going to be sympathetic to her (and many already were)...
Great piece by @matthewherper in STAT. He reminds us of some of her lies, including one she told him on stage in front of an audience statnews.com/2026/10/20/eliz… via @statnews

As she told the second lie about the commercial analyzers, Sunny texted her: “Worried about your ‘all fingersticks on our technology’ comment.”
Around 02:50, she claims they hadn’t used the Edison in years — total lie — and then at 03:20 comes the whopper: she claims they weren’t using commercial analyzers for fingerstick tests when in fact they were secretly using Siemens machines. youtu.be/MBs-oj7U-bo?is=9hLS…

Loved the movie but Billy Evans is a classic Guy I Wish I Didn't Have to Know About Who Is Famous Forever Now.
