Delighted to share that my short fiction “pigeons on my windowsill” is now published in @afreada, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Big thanks to Nancy and Chideraa for the amazing collaboration towards this publication. 🐦⬛🖤🪴

I think people underestimate how tired you can be from just having too much on your mind! Not even physically tired! Just tired of remembering things, handling things, thinking ahead, fixing stuff, making decisions, being needed, tryna stay afloat etc. That's just a lot for real.

Underrated life advice: get better at recovering fast. You're going to fail. You're going to get rejected. Make bad calls. Lose money. Embarrass yourself. Whatever it is, the goal is shrinking the gap between falling down and getting back up. Master the art of starting over.

New York City, wetin dey sup? It was a joy to commemorate 34 years of the Nigerian Day Parade alongside the many Nigerian New Yorkers who fill our city with life.
From the entrepreneurs whose businesses strengthen our neighborhoods, to the sounds of Afrobeats pouring out of graduation parties in Southeast Queens, and the aroma of Agege bread calling out to passersby in Brooklyn — the impact of Nigerian New Yorkers is felt across the five boroughs.
Our city is richer in culture, stronger in community, and more vibrant because of your contributions.

Please carry your struggles with a touch of dignity. Venting doesn't always help. People treat you differently when they know too much information about you.

guys i need actual help like does anyone have advice for locking in (like in literally every area of life) when you have literally zero motivation and are like highkey depressed 😭
the most underrated act of kindness is letting people be. let them mispronounce a word, talk too much about a show they love, or get excited about something you don't understand. everyone has something that lights them up. let them shine, even if it's not your thing.
