out of all the cool creative shit you could do, you're sending the same chatgpt outreach message?
strong believer that the amount of impact you put into getting what you want is the same impact it'll have on your life.
especially with AI rising, you gotta get smarter.

imagine a world where you never reply to another email. never miss another deadline.
that world starts now.

i think if ur creative team / director isn't into music, it's a red flag
wake up
coffee while mixing in the sun
then working on vids all day
is so low cortisol it's insane.
music is so key to all videos that it's almost a disadvantage if you don't fw it.
either do the hard stuff really well or don't do it.
i'm a firm believer that on youtube, minimal / no production is better than mediocre production.
editing a video yourself as a creator is humble.
$100 to have it edited is sloppy.
$1k to have it edited is professional.
hot take:
if your content agency can't get you over a 1000 views per video consistently, they're a terrible content agency.
"it's only $200 a video, they're not paying me enough to care"
is the exact reason you're stuck with the same rates, and same low quality clients, every month.
i've had $10,000 projects that do nothing for my career besides money...
and free edits that changed my life.
"why do my client's stop handing me work"
cause you ask for more while providing less and never going above and beyond.
no matter the price tag, your best is the minimum,
that's how you progress in the industry.

Those who picked up a camera in 2019/2020 instead of chasing a degree are probably living their best life now.
hate seeing this happen. give this as much attention as possible.
small editors with no brand / voice can just get blatantly ripped off by large creators, no one bats an eye
if u aint got $200 that's so sad @TheMasterBucks hahaha
I usually don't post things like this, but editors/freelancers deserve to be paid.
A YouTuber, MasterBucks (@TheMasterBucks), reached out to hire me as an editor. We agreed on $200 upfront after delivery + a percentage of the video's earnings.
Before starting, I even did a small free trial edit, which he said was exactly what he wanted.
Then I edited a full video around 40 minutes after the edit and around freaking four hours of recording, then made a few requested revisions, and delivered the final version.
After that, he stopped replying to my messages.
A week ago, he uploaded the exact video I edited, but I still haven't received payment or even a response.
I'm not asking for sympathy. I'm just asking him to honor the agreement and pay for the work that was delivered.
how to be a yt expert:
1. sign $2500 dfy retainer off pure bs
2. tell clients the low views is their "icp" (even if the audience is large)
3. get claude to replicate the same "advice" in 20 different ways for the tl
4. larp family vacations / bnbs
pretty easy just lock in cunt
paypal account i've used my whole career just got struck down
weirdly emotional about it, feels like losing a ball out of my sack
love how many creators look for editors that understand "storytelling" & "pacing"
then you ask them to show you the pre-production story layout & the desired conflict & resolution and they go blank.
good editing enhances a story, it doesn't create it out of thin air.
