Rush Limbaugh was the grandfather of MAGA. The original evil in our politics before Trump. In case you have forgotten, here he was suggesting Michael J Fox was faking Parkinson’s.

Quick reminder: Gold melts at around 2000 degrees. Washington DC did not experience that kind of heat wave. So… whatever Trump approved for those statues was not gold. Another multimillion dollar grift/money laundering scheme while Americans suffer.
Trump's $5 million gold refurbishing is now melting off the horse statues in Washington, D.C.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The statues were coated in real 23.75-karat gold leaf per the NPS contract. Visible streaks are not melting (gold melts at ~1947°F) but consistent with adhesive/sealer failure common in outdoor gilding. snopes.com/fact-check/tru… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Arts_… webelements.com/gold/thermoche… eytzinger.com/gilders-techni…

Patrick Stewart on Trump (2017): “You might say to me, well, you’re not an American, what has it got to do with you? The fact is when America sneezes, the world catches a cold. America I think is on the edge of a very bad flu infection and it’s because of the man who’s in the White House”

I spent much of the ’70s floundering career-wise. I recorded some terrific singles for Private Stock Records, When label head Larry Uttal signed me, I had high hopes for what we could accomplish together, but my recordings never received the promotion and support I felt they deserved. I reunited with Lee Hazlewood in 1978, recording an album’s worth of material. Unfortunately, without the support of a record label, the project never materialized. I was disappointed, but I was getting older and I was more focused on my family at that point, so it didn’t bother me as much. In 1980, I signed with Elektra Records, releasing one single, “Let’s Keep It That Way,” b/w “One Jump Ahead of the Storm,” and recording countless demos with Billy Strange as I tried to find something people would like. We recorded in a dingy little house studio in the Valley that the label owned. I can still see my kids running around that filthy place! Then, in 1981, Jimmy Bowen, who was then vice president of Elektra/Asylum Nashville, came to the rescue again, putting Mel Tillis and me together. Jimmy knew what he was doing because the chemistry between us was immediate and electric. We had a fabulous time recording our album. Mel & Nancy was released 45 years ago this week! It’s one of the best records I’ve ever made, and a fan favorite. I hope someday it will be available again for everyone to hear. It’s an album I’m incredibly proud of, and I’d love for it to have a second life. Mel and I had something special, and that music deserves to be heard.

I guess the thing I miss most about my childhood is being able to buy something without having to take a survey.

How am I supposed to think about the midterms when I’m busy figuring out what doesn’t belong in an AI slop image of the 1970s?

In what workplace could anyone else say this? We’ve become numb to indecencies. I’m tired of it. Call me old-fashioned but I’m ready for a president with some dignity.
Trump: I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before, Nicki Minaj. That's hard to miss.

ICE said Antonio Moreida jumped onto the hood of their vehicle. Now a local police investigation concludes that an ICE agent struck him with his SUV. The routine lying by ICE is the result of the example set by leadership of the Department of Homeland Security. All of those responsible for these acts of violence — and their leadership — will be held accountable.

Grabbed a screenshot of the exact moment Trump made another involuntary weird sound. Fwiw I didn’t know he could open his eyes that wide? He looks very confused. Terrified? In pain? Buckle up because we’re all in for a bumpy ride!
President Trump made another unexpected and odd sound during his rally in Iowa on October 22, 2026. I went ahead and added a zoom to that moment. I also slowed the same clip down to 25% speed. I have no idea what is going on with him but he’s had two episodes like this.
