It's like watching Lando get upset that Vader keeps "changing the deal" - at this point you have to know where this is all going.

I know the conservatives who are very committed to deporting everyone in the country illegally don't want to hear this, but when you let loose a paramilitary force on American communities that acts with impunity, voters don't like it! Even the voters who want border security!
Dems will control every House seat on the U.S.-Mexico border next year

Ok even more bonkers
BREAKING President Trump says Stephen Miller is the new White House Chief of Staff. The president says Susie Wiles is moving over to his political operation.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Arizona Democrats gain a trifecta to control the state House, Senate and governor’s office for first time in 60 years.

I know it seems petty, but it's actually pretty important to not let socialists claim they "won" the midterm, because you better believe the fake history they're trying to lay the groundwork for now is going to be used to justify absurd asks and claims in 2028.

This is an insane statistic. I highly doubt "it's here" but considering the low population of Utah, it would not tak that many more raw votes or CA transplants to make it the next KS, if not the next TX.
Votes won by Democratic congressional candidates in Utah: 367,267 Votes won by Republican congressional candidates in Utah: 367,033 #BLUTAH isn't coming. #BLUTAH is HERE. If Mike Lee isn't scared, he's not paying attention.

Spent a few minutes reading comments from winning Democratic candidates about Israel... and found some interesting, surprising results. I could only find three winning Senate candidates who openly and falsely accused Israel of genocide (El-Sayed, Flanagan, and Jackson) and two House candidates in competitive races (Lawrence, MI-7, and Villegas in CA). All except Villegas underperformed vis-à-vis other Democrats, though I don't think it's because of their comments about Israel (I'm sure there are others who said it, but I'm on a train so this is not an exhaustive search). But among Democrats in competitive Senate races, I couldn't find any who made the accusation. Hamilton in KS and Ossoff in GA refuted it (though Ossoff accused Israel of war crimes). However, all of them, like Turek and Talarico, were critical of Israel. If Andrews said anything about Israel, I couldn't find it (same for Colom). Brown, Cooper, and Peltola were more supportive of Israel than the rest. But what's more interesting is that in Blue states that had competitive primaries, like Illinois and Massachusetts, Markey and Stratton avoided the "g" word, though Markey accused Israel of "war crimes." Interestingly, Stratton was asked the genocide question at a debate and refused to answer yes. In New Hampshire, Pappas's opponent accused Israel of genocide, but he did not (again, I'm sure I'm missing a few here). To be clear, many Democrat candidates criticized Netanyahu; several accused it of committing war crimes, and a good number said they wanted to end offensive arms sales to Israel ... but pretty much all of them reiterated support for a Jewish State, a two-state solution, Israel's right to defend itself, and backed Iron Dome funding. None of that leads me to think that a Jewish candidate, like Shapiro, who is supportive but critical of Israel, would face major impediments to the Democratic presidential nomination.

NYT: Moderate Democrats Increase Their Clout For much of the midterm campaign, progressive Democratic insurgents commanded the spotlight in the fight to wrest control of Congress, defeating establishment incumbents in primaries, drawing enthusiastic crowds and promising to reorder their party’s priorities and remake American politics once they got to Washington. But the path to Democrats’ sweeping victory this week, when they seized control of both chambers of Congress, was paved overwhelmingly by moderates who had spent months persuading voters in Republican-leaning states and competitive congressional districts that they could be trusted to govern and would deliver dissatisfied voters a practical alternative to President Trump nytimes.com/2026/11/04/us/po…

Underrated perk of Dems sweeping is that the DSA caucus will be completely irrelevant. They’re going to be 15/250 House members and 2/55 Senators.

Today's results are better understood as a left-center wave, not a woke one. Trump lost big but so did a lot of far left ideas. - Billionaire tax failed in CA - Transgender school sports restrictions passed in WA - Increased penalties for fentanyl dealing and even possession passed in CO - Wiener won over Chan in SF Nationwide the electoral mood was normie lib wine mom, not far left. A victory against the horseshoe.

everyone is doing a pronouns/land acknowledgement bit but actually the fucking awesome thing is that a large part of why this sweep happened is we had a lot of really strong candidates that didn't lean into the woke 1.0 nonsense 10,000 years of bill clinton neoliberal abundance

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

In what might be the upset of the century in the state of Alabama, it *appears* as though independent candidate Jesse Battles has defeated incumbent Republican Andrew Jones in Alabama's SD-10. Donald Trump won SD-10 by 62% in 2024.

Two great things about the shellacking Dems delivered last night: 1. Fraud proof fromMAGA sore losers (especially the ketchup thrower) 2. Normie Dems won in huge numbers which means all that leverage the DSA loons thought they’d have is out the window. Happy Wednesday everyone

Normal inclusive moderates are the face of the Democratic Party. Anything leftists touched *trailed* behind. By a lot.
It's not just Democrats winning: it's fresh, younger, more populist Dems. I really hope they become the face of the Party - now.
