if you're any of these protocols and need to pull off an 11/10 side event for @EFDevcon in the next 36 hours, i gotchu.
here's exactly what i'd do in mumbai 🧵
1/ @HyperliquidX: live perps trading roadshow at the Bar Stock Exchange (BSE) bar - where drink prices fluctuate in real time based on supply and demand, just like stocks.
prices can also crash, letting traders buy the dip (yes this is really how this bar operates - v fun!!). Open a side prediction market on @Kalshi to make it even more fun.
2/ @0xfluid: sunset yacht party - sails from gateway of india
3/ @matchaxyz: merch swap + matcha rave at Boujee or Mokai
4/ @jumperapp: climbing event at Indian Bouldering Company
5/ @PropellerSwap : karting event at Ajmera IndiKarting racetrack. Overtake the Fynd car to win (hint: you cant, its too fast)
6/ @hypepartners: an indian classical show at @NCPAMumbai or @nmacc_india
7/ @raave : bangin bollywood bash at Bombay Daak. dress code is bollywood fits and sarees
8/ @1inch: midnight cycling event in south bombay
9/ @privy_io: pop up chai & vada pav stalls all over BKC - onboard users onchain via the nation's social currency, protected by Privy ofc ;)
not any of these companies? or maybe you want more unique event inspo's...
steal these:
1. Yoga at priyadarshini park + Benne dosa afters
2. Bollywood zumba (i know someone who conducts these like he's on coke)
3. Airborne aerial yoga (kamala mills branch), then coffee or cocktails at Late Checkout
4. Fancy exclusive mixer - Aer Rooftop for the Bombay's skyline, or the Intercontinental for a sea view of the queen's necklace.
if you need a hand pulling off any of these events or if you have any questions, happy to help! dms open :)
Now here's a quick guide to food, shopping, transport and logistics.
Food & Drinks hot spots (apart from the ones I mentioned above):
1. Gigi for the best vodka pasta in the city
2. PCO for insaaaannnneeee cocktails
3. Pizza By The Bay for semi-outdoor pizza, pasta and wine
4. Rameshwaram cafe or Anna Idli for south indian
5. Swati snacks for gujarati snacks and pav bhaji (@tim_cook dined here during his visit to mumbai). Mild spice and very very clean
6. Asian cuisine - Royal China, Wagamama, Kuai Kitchen, Yazu, All Stir Fry (make ur own wok bowl)
7. Punjab Grill for north indian - butter chicken, kulcha, naan, etc.
8. Mota Chaiwala / Chaayos for chai (tho nothing beats a street stall for chai lol)
9. Kailash parbat - CHAAT. Omg this one is a MUST!! Paani puri, sev puri, dahi puri. I promise, you will lose your mind. I will take you here myself. All the water here is filtered, Bisleri bottled water so do not worry you will not die
10. Razzberry Rhinoceros - beers by the beach (might be shut for renovation, double check)
11. Veronica's - insane prawn burgers, you have to try it
Indian wear shopping:
Online: Shop indian wear online on @myntra, @AJIOLife or even @amazonIN has great options
IRL: Fabindia, Westside, Biba or any of the malls (Jio world drive, Phoenix Market City, Phoenix Palladium), or come to the babesnet shopping event and i'll take you around myself! (girls only) 🛍️ - luma.com/tcr2w1m2
Special shoutout: for some incredibly unique, stunning indo-western statement jewellery pieces, go to Bhavya Ramesh in Kala Ghoda. Their pieces are one of a kind
How to get around the city like a pro:
1. Get the @district_india app to check for "things to do around you" - musicals, plays, comedy shows.
2. @zomato and @Swiggy is India's doordash for food delivery. You can also reserve your table via the 'Dining' tab for select restaurants
3. forgot a jacket, spilled coffee on your tee, need a charger or literally ANYTHING? @letsblinkit, @Swiggy Instamart or @ZeptoNow apps gets it to you in 10 mins. Groceries, outfits, literal air coolers if you need them.
Transport:
Super super easy. Public transport options are ample.
1. Hail a cab (kaali peeli aka black and yellow), autorickshaw (3 wheeler), or book an @Uber. You can also book @rapidoapp_ bikes (2 wheeler) for short rides.
All cabs run on meter, expect to pay the meter fare. Do not agree to travel in cabs that do not go by meter as you will likely get scammed (arbitrary quotes).
2. Take the metro. Aqua line is the BKC route and will bring you to south bombay (downtown). State of the art metro stations. Visit south bombay for hertiage architecture, beautiful bylanes for food, stunning art galleries and boutique shopping.
3. Local trains - If you really want to experience mumbai in all its chaotic glory. Not for the faint hearted lol.
Relaxation / Grooming:
1. Earthy by Ellenza - spa / salon that uses only natural materials. Banana leaf hair therapy, lemons cucumbers pedicures, etc.
2. Any salon you go to - ask for a head massage. You will be sent into another dimension. Bblunt is a good salon - professional, trustworthy although a little more expensive.
3. For my bros - give a local barbershop a go. He'll give you the best cut, a million dollar shave and a 10/10 head massage, all probably under $5
Well this should be all you need! DM me if you have any questions or want me to dive deeper into any suggestions :)
Here's an interactive guide with gmaps links to ALL the hot venues mentioned above - hot-events-36h.vercel.app/
and for everyone coming in for the first time, know this:
India has built tech that allows you to be human, and doesnt punish you for it.
Forgot to plan a dinner? Make a ressi online within minutes.
Lazy/tired to go out and buy groceries? Order online and it's home in 10 minutes.
Decided last minute to go to a yoga class? Call and they'll probably have a slot waiting for you shortly.
And Mumbai is where everyone meets. People from all walks of life, all cultures and fluencies. It is a city that allows you to just be. So come as you are, and you will find your people.
Allow this city to change you, allow the people to inspire you, show you beauty in its chaos, should you have the eyes to see. And you will leave feeling loved.
@EFDevcon is going to be unforgettable.
I am so excited to welcome you home. 🙏♥️

Starting today (1.11.2026), #Japan's #TaxFree System will change to refund based.
1. Buying a product you need to pay the full tax-inclusive price. Make sure to present your passport at the billing counter. Record of your purchase will be recorded in the customs system. Minimum purchase to qualify for the same is 5,000 yen (excluding VAT) pr more + bought on the same day at the same store.
Did you know?
Consumable goods can also be claimed for Tax Return if the above criteria is fulfilled. Max 500,000 yen. but make sure to be taking them out of Japan within 30 days of purchase.
2. You can claim a tax refund on departure within 90 days of purchase. Need to have the good + the receipt for the refund process.
3. Make sure to verify your passport number in receipts before leaving the shop. Customs will also verify the same.
4. Reach the airport with ample time for the tax refund process to be completed.
5. Credit Card purchased refunds will take 1-2 weeks. Bank Transfers 2-4 weeks.
This new process now won't work for your drop shopping orders from Japan.

We're hiring designers at Finom ✼
Our business is seeing finomenal growth, and we need builders to help us make Finom the best banking app for entrepreneurs.
Let me answer the usual questions upfront.
▸ 5 roles, senior to principal, all individual contributors
▸ Fully remote, and we only hire in Europe
▸ Hubs in Amsterdam, Cyprus, Warsaw, London Berlin
▸ We can't support with relocation
▸ Fintech experience isn't mandatory, but craft is non-negotiable
▸ Building is in our DNA you'll do well here if you take ownership and get your hands dirty

There's ain't no bigger scam in history than 'Columbus discovered America'.
It's like me going to Bihar, subjugating the localites, and then say I discovered Bihar.

A ticket shouldn't stand between you and Edge City India 🎟️
So we're covering 10 of the final ones.
If you're building something and think you'd flourish in Goa alongside builders and researchers from India and around the world, tell us in a 60-second video.
Your next steps👇
One of my pet peeves when dining out is restaurant staff spraying Colin like it's some delish, edible food - especially when there's food on the next table.
Really hope Tukaram Munde Sir takes strict action and mandates NOT spraying it directly on tables (spray it on cloth!)🙏🏻

Every Indian should travel abroad at least once not to experience luxury, but to gain perspective.
You start noticing things we often take for granted: better-planned cities, cleaner public spaces, efficient public transport, disciplined systems and infrastructure that simply works.
And it makes you realise that development isn’t always about having more money.
It’s about planning, priorities, execution and accountability.
Travel doesn’t just show you the world.
Sometimes, it shows you what India could be doing better.

I am getting so excited for this! Will be back in Bangalore & Mumbai in 2 weeks! Looking for final partners who want to collaborate. If this interests you or you know someone who might be interested, please reach out!
Time to change my name? 😬
Bihar will replace the word “fail” on Class 10 and 12 marksheets with “Kaushal ke liye patra (eligible for skills)”. Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said the change aims to protect students’ morale and ensure exam scores are not seen as a reflection of their talent.
