After months of digging into documents, we are finally ready. Waiting for that one little "last mile" step on the advice of a well-wisher, though I'm ready to go. Interestingly, the judge has made headlines recently
Once upon a time, Thane was the bastion of @BJP4India. Sadly, it surrendere it Sena. Today, Thane is just a turf for the various Senas to fight over it. Thank you @bjpmaha for abandoning it's core vote bank. @Dev_Fadnavis 🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏼
Supporters of slain Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Pradeep Purnekar blocked Ghodbunder Road overnight on Tuesday and burnt tyres, triggering massive traffic congestion. Several commuters were stranded for hours, with some reportedly walking kilometres to reach home.
The protest followed the detention of Purnekar’s son, Ram Purnekar, who demanded the arrest of former Thane mayor Meenakshi Shinde and her husband in connection with his father’s murder. Police said traffic was restored by 4 am on Wednesday.

❌ Several Pak based social media accounts are circulating misleading claims that tensions are escalating along the Arunachal Pradesh border and that the Indian Army is allegedly forcing local civilians to remain in conflict zones as “human shields”.
✅ The original video being used out of context was published on Instagram on 5 July 2026. The footage shows pilgrims gathered near the entry gate at Baltal, Jammu & Kashmir, for on-the-spot registration and RFID card issuance during the Amarnath Yatra 2026.

🚨SHOCKING - FIR against Malabar:
A man walked into a Malabar Gold showroom in Bilaspur with a simple request: exchange his old 22-carat HUID-hallmarked bracelet.
The staff ran it through their XRF machine. Once. Twice. Three times.
Every reading came back the same: 20 carat.
They even told him the hallmark didn’t exist.
He called the local jeweller who had sold him the bracelet. The jeweller walked in, confirmed the HUID, and asked them to test it again.
Same machine. Same bracelet. Same room.
This time an employee adjusted something on the machine. Suddenly the reading flipped to 916 - pure 22 carat.
The jeweller recorded everything. The Sarafa Association arrived. Police registered an FIR against the showroom manager and the machine operator. The machine and DVR were seized.
This wasn’t a small local shop. This was Malabar Gold “the chain that advertises trust, purity, and BIS standards across India”.
One bracelet. Two readings. An 8% gap in gold value. And the only thing that changed was who was watching.
If a hallmarked piece can magically lose two carats the moment a customer wants to exchange it, and magically regain them the moment someone pushes back, what exactly is the machine testing?
Customers don’t walk into Malabar expecting a calibration error that only appears when they’re selling gold.
They walk in expecting the purity printed on their receipt.
The FIR is real.
The readings are on record.
The machine was seized.
Malabar still hasn’t explained why the same piece of gold needed a “setting” before it became 22 carat again.
Until they do, this isn’t a machine glitch.
It’s a business model.

Shailesh Pandit,43, should rank as a rare amateur astrologer for the Dakshina he asks from his Yajman after his predictions come true. As Dakshina he demands ethical conduct. At least 32 police officers have stopped taking bribes after meeting him. They are amongst many doctors & other professionals whom he has made to take a successful pledge of ethical conduct.
An ardent devotee of Maa Amba who does intense Sadhana every single day, the Bhavnagar-based Pandit is known for his accuracy of predictions. He also correctly maps the past. He says he owes his prowess directly to Maa Ambe as he uses it for the betterment of the society.
People come to him when they are deeply distressed. He uses this psychological advantage to not just get them out of their troubles but also bring them on the ethical path, if they have strayed.
Indeed. Corruption by bureaucracy , professionals & political class is the main reason for the falling ethical standards in India’s public, bureaucratic & professional space - signs of which are tell-tale.
I just imagine how India will transform if all the spiritual figures of Bharat who command massive following take the course chosen by Pandit.
Thankful to Dr Prem Kandoliya & my ethically strong son, Samarjit Singh Mahurkar, for introducing me to Shailesh Pandit.

A friend recently asked me which digital payments app I was using.
When I told her, she promptly asked, “Why not use BHIM, our very own Indian app?”
I admitted I didn’t know much about it.
“Well, let me introduce you to someone you’ll enjoy meeting.”
That someone was Dilip Asbe, MD & CEO of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
Dilip kindly agreed to come over for a chat.
That conversation was illuminating, to put it mildly.
We all know the payment apps we use every day. PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM…
But think of them as trains running on a railway network.
NPCI provides the tracks.
And what an extraordinary railway India has built!
In September, UPI alone processed over 2,400 crore transactions. That’s more than 80 crore transactions every single day!
India is now the world’s largest real-time payments market. A true global force multiplier.
And Dilip has been one of the key people behind that remarkable achievement.
His mind is buzzing with plans to build more ‘railroads’ that will enable new apps in wider financial spheres.
But here’s what struck me most about him.
Not the scale of his achievement. Not his knowledge of the technology.
His humility.
Dilip is well known in financial & technology circles. But I met a man with no airs, no sense of self-importance & seemingly little interest in the spotlight.
Just immense pride in what his team has accomplished & a genuine sense of privilege at being able to serve his country.
I also learned that his mother was a teacher.
Perhaps I’m biased, but I’ve always believed that mothers who are teachers have a special knack for instilling values that last a lifetime. And I couldn’t help wondering if that explained something about Dilip’s grounded personality.
People like him derive their satisfaction not from being seen, but from seeing their work make a difference.
Thank you, Dilip, for the conversation. And for reminding me that ambition & humility can indeed travel together on the railroad to success.
And I’ve switched to the BHIM app now!

Sorry, but your list is pretty skewed. Not sure how you rate Generals great but doesn’t make any sense seeing this list. There has to be some guideline which is common for all and on what Generals can be evaluated.
Bajirao, Shivaji Maharaj, Sagat Singh, Hannibal, Xin, Cortez, Nobunaga, Lee, Saladin, Nelson, Rommel, Slim, Hari Singh Nalwa, Mark Antony, Lachit Borphukan, Bai Qi, Kublai...so many of great Generals towering over the list you’ve made.

Ever heard of a battle where a river became a decisive military advantage?
In 1671, the Ahom army under Lachit Borphukan confronted a major Mughal force on the Brahmaputra near Guwahati.
The battle of Saraighat showed how terrain, river warfare and leadership could offset numerical strength.
