In August 2025, Trump declared a crime emergency in DC, invoked the Home Rule Act, deployed the US MIL/NG to DC, and they have been there ever since.
Not only have 4,500+ troops been deployed to DC, they have been securing subterranean facilities and transportation hubs around city, as well as building the White House’s new subterranean facilities and ballroom, with drone port. Trump is also building his triumphal arch, which is really a US MIL installation with a drone port.
Trump and the US MIL began securing DC last year, and I think it’s because they know something is coming. That’s why the Dems are so mad about the White House renovations and enhanced security. They know it’s getting done ahead of schedule and they don’t want Trump or the city to be secure for the chaos they have planned.
This is also why Trump ordered 23,500 Quick Reaction Force National Guard troops to be on standby, since January 1st of this year. 500 quick response troops in every state.
Trump has been preparing for this from the beginning. The US MIL have quietly been securing the nation this entire time, and the DOJ/FBI/DHS have been cleaning up the terror networks and sleeper cells.

I'm hearing a lot of very sober conservatives saying that there is no there there in the various videos from the @DataRepublican drops, and that these people are LARPers fantasizing about events that can never, ever happen in the USA.
I have two rebuttals to that sentiment:
1. These are serious people. Ex-USAID employees. Admirals and generals. Ex-State Department. Ex-CIA. Big donors. While some of them may look like goofy LARPers on Zoom, IRL they are serious, highly credentialed leftists with skills, education and experience that should not be taken lightly.
2. Underestimate these people at your own peril. "They could never pull this off in the USA!" Oh really? Exhibit A that they absolutely could pull something this extreme off is how they crippled the Trump 45 Presidency with a totally fake, totally fabricated "Trump/Russia Collusion" hoax, a hoax that started at the Oval Office of Mr. Community Organizer himself, Barack Obama.
Do not underestimate these plotters, please.

The general news policy where I’ve worked used to be that you name sources —with rare exceptions.
When there is an exception, you explain as thoroughly as possible why you can’t use the name and characterize the person so that people have at least something to judge the source’s opinion or information on.
However when Trump first came on the political scene, the NYT led the way in bending their standards, and practically everyone else followed suit. Poor judgement. And the bent standards stuck to this day.
The fact is: standards exist because they are not supposed to be amended depending on the person being covered and how much the media does or doesn’t like him.
That’s the whole purpose of a standard.
