On Saturday 22 October 2026, uGogo in frame 3 in the pictures below spoke to us about not having electricity due to it being blocked by the municipality as a result of debt.
As a SASSA beneficiary she cried about how she cannot afford to pay rates, and as a result she has been living in darkness for months, and tending to herself including cooking by asking to use the kitchen of neighbours.
Yesterday, Monday 26 October 2026 we ensured she was reconnected to the grid and bought her electricity. Like she says in the video, we assured her that some things don’t need us to be in power when we can fight for dignity now.
SASSA beneficiaries should be exempt from pay municipal rates!

I listened this morning to Eugene de Kock’s evidence before the Khampepe Commission and I am sick to the pit of my stomach. He is Prime Evil — a mass murderer who earned that name at Vlakplaas. I hold no brief for him. But what he described is a deliberate, systemic protection of the true decision-makers: the senior politicians and the generals of the SAPS and the old SADF, covering the entire State Security Council.
P.W. Botha personally ordered the bombings of Khotso House and COSATU House. Adriaan Vlok honoured those who carried them out. Louis le Grange ordered the bombing of the ANC offices in London and honoured the perpetrators. F.W. de Klerk, longstanding member and former chair of the State Security Council, gave orders for people to be killed. He does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize; it must be withdrawn posthumously. Roelf Meyer sat on that same Council and served as Minister of Defence. He must be recalled immediately as South Africa’s ambassador to the United States. It is unconscionable that he continues to represent this Republic.
This protection continued under every ANC presidency. Specifically, under former President Jacob Zuma, de Kock was granted parole and a state pension. The facts speak for themselves. Successive ANC administrations chose silence and cover over accountability.
All indemnities and amnesties granted to those responsible must be recalled and rescinded. Those who are dead must be charged posthumously. Those still alive must be charged, face the consequences, and go to prison. There is no other way. Their estates must be sequestrated and the proceeds used for restitution to the victims and their families.
The dead elephant remains in the room: who inside the ANC, including senior leaders, served the apartheid apparatus. These questions can no longer be avoided. The families of the victims have waited long enough. Prestige, amnesty and wealth cannot continue to shield the men who ordered the killings. The evidence demands action. It must be taken.

We have always known this. It is not only the state that wants to see the EFF collapse, the business sector too.
The recent, rapid attacks against the EFF widley on Social media are a clear indication of this.
But what is rather shocking is that the project used to be called “Operation Mayibuye,” while Floyd Shivambu currently leads a political party called Mayibuye. 🤔🤔🤔

The people who are praising Lula da Silva would not have voted for him here in South Africa. Why?
Lula gives grants to the poor and these people hate this.
So it's pontificating at best this Lula praise. I don't buy it 🙏

So, in one sentence: government operatives within the intelligence services withdrew R12 million to infiltrate @EFFSouthAfrica through key individuals in its @ParliamentofRSA caucus in order to collapse the party, and the project was named Project Mayibuye. Hhmmm!!

DA & EFF local government performance since 2016:
DA:
2016 - 26,9%
2021 - 21,6%⬇️
EFF:
2016 - 8,19%
2021 - 10,31%⬆️
What informs the view that the ANC's decline will result in the DA's growth? Are we being managed here?

Comrades and fighters of the world — what a magnificent, history-making victory!
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has done it again. In a stunning comeback that defied the polls, the right-wing wave sweeping Latin America, and the open interference of imperialist forces, the Brazilian people have re-elected their progressive leader to an unprecedented fourth term. Democracy held. Sovereignty won. The people refused to hand their country back to the heirs of fascism and the puppets of foreign capital.
The EFF recognises that Lula’s victory is not just a Brazilian triumph — it is a decisive blow against market fundamentalism. Once again, ordinary Brazilians have shown that with political consciousness and organised resistance, the people become their own liberators. They have rejected the far-right agenda of exclusion, privatisation, and submission, and chosen instead a path of social justice, economic sovereignty, and dignity for the poor and working people.
This victory must inspire us in the last week of mobilisation for the local government elections to work even harder for a victory of the Economic Freedom Fighters. Just as Lula has consistently fought to rebuild a people’s economy, reverse the privatisation of strategic assets, expand social spending, and assert Brazil’s independent role in BRICS and Latin American solidarity, so too must we in South Africa intensify the struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime. His humility in victory, his refusal to bow to external pressure, and his lifelong commitment to the masses are an inspiration and a model.
To Comrade Lula, the Workers’ Party, and the Brazilian people: our deepest admiration, solidarity, and joy. You have shown the world that the left can still win when it stands firmly with the people against imperialism and reaction. The fight continues — tomorrow and every day after — but today we celebrate with full hearts and redouble our efforts on the ground.
Parabéns, Presidente Lula! A luta continua!
Economic Freedom in Our Lifetime! ✊🏾

A party that has to beg for one last chance at every election , knows it is dealing with idiotic voters. How many chances, must you give this failing party? After how many last chances, will you accept, that the party is doomed, rotten and beyond being salvaged?

Yes, because Cyril Ramaphosa (the Trojan horse within the @MYANC) is trying to force regions to work with @Our_DA rather than MK Party and the EFF. This is precisely why, the billion rand poured into his CR17 campaign from WMC was so significant. Meanwhile, small-minded people continue shouting about the Guptas capturing the state, while ignoring what could be an even more insidious form of state capture unfolding right under their noses.
